Thread: Action Cost

I don't think anything can affect this, but can it? It is not fun to pay for a quickness buff each time I want to do the 2 flourishes per 10 seconds for the "best" xp. I understand this won't affect me (as much) when I am playing to make the song sound nice, but perhaps it will affect giving buffs. I am a Zabrak...does anyone know if any other races have this problem, and what have they done to solve it? Stat migration isn't good enough, because our H/A secondariesare capped fairly low, because of the high caps on our mind stats.
I am a Zab as well,but I have novice medic to give myself a quick pick me up. So I don't buy buffs. I have had a few docs "trade" buffs with me before, and it is nice to be able to not worry about the green bar for a while. As I am not familiar with a lot of chef foods, I do know that they make some that can help your action secondaries, but what it is, and how much it costs I have no clue.
The only downside to the self healing, if it is needed, is that it takes 10 seconds to start playing again once you stop. Other than that, you are good to go as long as you have a fairly good supply of stims.

Instead of getting a doc buff, I use Accarragm (chef drink). Boosts all 3 action stats by around 400 points for 40 minutes or so. Should help at least.
I keep a hoard of Accarragm hidden under the loose tile in the corner of the Theed cantina...

+415 to Action, Quickness, and Stamina; 50 filling; 45 minute duration; 20 charges per bottle. I can take two at a time indefinitely, which means I can spam as many flourishes as is possible and not leave a dent.
{EDIT: On Chilastra, Odds sells crates of 25 bottles for 250K -- Cheap enough that you can make a decent profit with a steady stream of buff clients, using speed buffs.}

Of course, don't take advantage of the situation. Offer favors to the doctor, be the first to volunteer when the doctor needs help. Give random gifts

By the way, I'd definitely ask around your entertainer groups to see if there's an entertainer friendly doctor who'll give you a quickness buff for cheap/free. Befriend that doctor, and you'll be set whenever ya'll're both on at the same time.

That's it right there in a nut shell. I personally, never have charged a doctor for a buff. Many of them know this. And yes, I will plug it while buffing them:
Me:(about 2 or 3 min in) BTW, I do not charge doctors, or wookiee's, for buffs, so enjoy the free one, and if you do ever need one and I'm around, I'd be too happy to help...
Doc: Wow thanks, say after this want to go outside and get some green buffs? For free of course?
Simple. On the other hand its usually only 2k if a doc does charge you. You don't even need stamina, or Action. Only a quickness buff. I am a wookiee, and only have gotten a quickness buff in the past. And 99% of them dont make ya wait in line, just send a tell
Its a professional courtesy between 2 of the 3 buffing classes in the game. (As a further plug, I never charge IDers either. They are entertainers, they get my koodos as well.)
It's all about what goes around comes around.
SnowJoke wrote:NewJedi, are you a Zabrak then? And you buff ok?
No, there's no way that NewJedi could flourish that easily without some kind of buff as a Zabrak (I'm a Zabrak, and my action secondaries are migrated to their highest (quite low)).
As others have suggested, Accaragm will do the trick. I even do fine with some subpar Accaragm that I accidentally bought semi-recently.
