I can't imagine that... a vague promise that entertainers get a revamp sometime in 2005? Isn't exactly news... So if that's what SOETyrant imagines we see as "pretty positive changes", then he's so completely out of touch with reality that they might as well completely scrap the whole thing and give up on it.

Plus there are the remarks by our Corrs, who definitely know about us, so my guess is there will be more

A dev promise is as filling as rice cakes, except unlike dev promises, with rice cakes you actually get something....even though they taste like styrofoam.

His tone was somewhat patronising and there are no specifics. He states that the CU is progessing well and he offhandedly mentions ....even an entertainer update. I don't think there is any concept of schedule in his brain.

He may have just as well stated "Even the servers will continue to be used and upgraded" or "Even Sony will continue to pay my salary" because I feel that while its good to hear our name.....all he's saying is that we exist. The CURB will be an update for all combat classes and, with what I've seen in terms of the new weapons, the crafting classes. I sure hope that we'd get one eventually, but him puting it in a newsletter does not mean that we will get anything good or in a timely fashion.

This really IRKS me.

Yeah, I got kind a feisty with the way it was all worded.

Mainly, how it was phrased - sort of like "We're going to be changing and upgrading and doing all these cool things for everyone - and even an Entertainer Upgrade!"

Like we're sort of last in the order of priorities, though I'd say we're the single greatest playstyle destroyed by AFK'ing. And it also sort of made us look like improving our professions is some silly little pet project for them.

But, really - it's TH. The man ALWAYS phrases things awkwardly and creates an issue where there wasn't one before, based on how he writes something.

I think his intent was to throw a little hope in for Entertainers, when really it did come across as an afterthought and easily misinterpreted as insulting. Again though, it's TH.

And I'm doubting this is the announcement. No way Correspondents have been working this hard on stuff for a little one-liner afterthought of a statement about an Entertainer Upgrade. If that is the announcement, and it took them that long to put out something approved, brother does SOE have some SERIOUS red tape issues to deal with before even considering working on any profession.
