LOL! This is great! Now the character that I had for buffing (Musician/Doc) will have so many free skill points! I will drop to Novice Ent and Doc will cost less to get too! Wow! So I am guessing cantina's will be empty now? Cause a 10% xp bonus... I should stop paying the extra $15 a month if that's the only bonus, besides if I have a complete characterwhat do I need an xp bonus for anyway???

An Inspiration Buff will be the replacement for Mind Buffing for Entertainers post Combat Upgrade. Players will have improved XP (experience) gains, improved faction point gains, and increased crafting successes. An Inspiration Buff will be applied in a similar method to the current application. The only change is that to both the entertainer and player the process will be transparent. No action is required from either other than listening or watching the entertainer and the entertainer to dance or play. This is to provide a simple and easy system for both involved. Did I read this correct?

I just stand there and play music and do nothing at all?

I do not need to "/setp" it is out of my control?

Istill can not buff myself?

I can drop to novice and buff as much as a master.

*sigh*

yes it is a simple and easy system.

I do hope I am readingthis incorrect. I do not mean to sound negative I just do not understand how I can make a living being a entertainer.

I like the bonuses but I dont like the execution.

- An entertainer with more skills should grant a higher bonus
- A novice entertainer should only give a buff that lasts 5 or 10 minutes not 30 minutes.
- There needs to be something the entertainer needs to do to apply the bonus. It should not be just by /listen or /watch. It should be something that cannot be macroed.
- The buff should take at least several minutes to apply not just one minute.

New buff idea is good but the new way they are being applied is HORRIBLE. It just promotes more AFK Entertainers.

Please read the Thread I made on this board a few minutes ago. It's still near the top.

Aleyo...you, our "correspondent" better fight with us against this. Because it doesnt seem like you are since they have it in concept. I was under the impression the "correspondents" spoke with the team about proposed changes?? I will fight against this as I'm sure others will.

I posted about this in the thread by the way, I'm on Page 5.

Fight Against this??????? OMG...don't you realize that EVERYONE...not just combatants will want to watch Entertainers now?? This is a GREAT start on getting us needed by EVERYONE. I really hope that out of this concept that more comes for us and I truely hope that it isn't fought against! This is a good thing..a step in the right direction. Yes..it being completely passive and there not being anyreal advantage to spend the SP for master is concerning me...but I know that every crafter will be spending some times in the cantinas (And I'm hoping camps will allow this too) for that extra little "Umph" to their experimentation.

Ditto on all that.

The technique tree is still useless under these proposed "inspiration buffs", so a master musician or dancer still have two trees of completely wasted skillpoints (wounds and techniques). Entertainers will still not be able to make a single credit off of these buffs, besides the very, very, very rare actual tips we get. It's way too easy to AFK macro this. WE need to be able to control the buff, and it must NOT be possible to do so AFK.

Read it again....not an experimentation bonus...improved chance of success. On complex things that may mean a little boostIF they get better chances to hit "amazing" but on a great deal of stuff it will do nothing. The way its phrased it seems like there will be less chance of failure, and that is already disabled.

Yes, it will make more people need Entertainers, but IT WON'T MAKE THEM NEED ATK ENTERTAINERS!!!

All this will do is encourage AFK Buff Houses because of the passive ability. It will take away the only income my Entertainer Character has because I refuse to sit in a Buff House and charge an admitance fee.

This is not fixing the major problem that Real Entertainers have, the AFK Buff Bots. In fact it is gonna amplfy the problem because now the only thing anyone will need to give a buff is Novice Entertainer and they will get the exact same buff a Master can give, it will just take a minute or 2 longer.

If this hits live, your gonna see no Real Entertainers left and about 10 times more Buff Bots. Exactly what we DON'T want.

You're right..I mis read that...but it doesn't mean they won't still come for that. Yes...there is LOTS of things that need to be worked out...

*sigh*

I'm just going to go back to lurking and shaking my head at the negativity of this board.
