Thread: New Quests, Ridiculous Wait Times
2 min to talk to the crowd is unreal
hell some of the crowd was spawning in 10 sec before the performance started, probably lag related.
very poorly implemented quest :/

I converse with the manager, tell her I am ready, and she says I have 150 seconds to be on stage.
I run out into the audience and converse with almost all of the audience members to find out what they likeor do not like.
I'm running toward the stage, and I see "Youhave 10 secondsto be on stage."
I run on to the stage then see [FAILURE] flash across the screen, and the audience despawns and disappears.
I walk over to theTheatre manager, who tells me I can try again, in TWENTYFOUR HOURS.This is really unnecessary and unproductive / lame / boring.
I entertained forabout30people today, traveling to Eisely, Bestine, and Dantooine, then fail stage 2 all because I was .00001 seconds late, and then I have to wait until tomorrow to have a second chance? Why? This is worse than the 10 minute image design timer.
Let me first state that I do not feel the quests are that thrilling to begin with, however, the 24 hour delay is in there for a reason, maybe a few reasons.
If there was no delay, then people would just keep trying the quest again and again until they passed. Don't believe me...well it happened on testcenter when we were testing without delays. Also, there needs to be some penalty for failure. Personally I prefer a delay rather than having to do the promotion again or something like that. Is the delay extreme....maybe, but I do not have statistics on how many people are doing the quests, and as performances are one at a time, there could be a backlog of people waiting for their moment on the stage if the delay is too short.
Regarding audience showing up over time, some right before the performance starts.....that is one of the few realistic things that I have seen implemented in the game. Its only slightly off due to the fact that most people arrive in those last seconds, and many after the show starts. It keeps you on your toes trying to find and speak to them or it forces you to find a friend to talk to them during the performance. The audience is supposed to provide hints, speaking their preferences off a random table. They are not supposed to guarentee a perfect performance everytime.
Finally, does it suck that you missed by seconds, possibly entirely due to lag, YES. However, you receive updates on the timer at 30 second intervals for the entire time and then 10 second intervals for the last 30......there was plenty of warning, and personally I know that lag can be an issue, so I make sure I am where I need to be when that timer expires....even if that means I have to get there a little early.

Well I personally like it. (I seem to always be the Devil's advocate in the forums.)
Because, I think it adds more tension and realism to the performance. If it was not in there, everyone would just take the audition... not take it seriously... spam a bunch of macros.......... fail, /rinse;/repeat until they succeed, and that would be lame.
imho
Go ahead.... counter my argument........ don't just be a coward one-star ninja...
