Thread: Skill required for Glactic Search?

No skill is required.
It's available on every vendor.
All you have to do is turn it on.
Elyssa, not to disrepect you, but you need to step up on this one. What they effectively did was remove 3 branches of merchant.
Planetary ad tree - who needs it? I can just find it on the bazaar.
Hiring tree - who needs it? no one needs to see my vendors, they don't need to be in a mall and look all nice.
Reduced fees - well I could still use this, but I don't have to worry about it, seeing as the maintenance cost is so low and if I have merchant 0004 I can put all my items on one vendor, and because anyone can see them in the entire galaxy from one spot, they don't need to be place in convenient locations.
If this ability was a MASTER MERCHANT ability... then it'd be fine, but anyone can use it, it's not balanced, it's a nerf.

I have made all of those concerns (including this one) available to them.

My role is to act as a conduit for getting player concerns to the developers.

The decision to act on those concerns belongs to the developers alone.
You know I don't envy Cors one bit.
You get our complaints
our ideas
our concerns
shoved at you every which way
Then get to make it into reseonble reading for the Devs
who inturn do what they see fitting in their own right
only to leave you unawares of what is going on...
to pass it right back to us...
I fully trust our Cors as representives of everyone, for and against what ever may come.
Yep, I know how you feel. Most of us feel the same way.
Not to beat a dead horse but this is more than likely a glimpse of things to come. It seems that the devs are preparing to dumb down this game to accomidate more players. For me, it was the detailed character skills and crafting that has kept me here but that seems to be headed out the door.
We first saw this start with vehicles where it actually requires more time to put together a Scout Blaster (barrel, handlers, scope, then the final assembly) than a swoop or speederbike (1 step construction). Next we saw it with JtL where you could build a YT-1300 chassis in one crafting step. Not much thinking or planning involved.
My guess is that weapon crafting will devolve into this simplified system when the CU goes live.
