For Noob Vendors stocked with 10-20 items im sure the system is GREAT ... but for True Merchants as myself.. It takes me HOURS to restock 500-600 Items that end up on my stockroom every 30days ...

I knowthe DEVs pay NO attention toUsefull Ideas .. I know this for a fact cause I have been here since release week ...But if anyone reads this .. ALLMERCHANT NEEDSis to be able to SELCECTmore than one item at a time on Vendors ...

Perhaps giving this option ONLY toMaster Merchants would work too.

So far I see the Merchant Ideas in production pretty Lame ... that Galactic Vendor is simply gonna make my decorated shop useless since noone will come and see my set up now since they can shop from anywhere ...

I don't think any vendors should need to restock. Why on earth do the items even come off after 30 days? Whats this time limit for?

I hope the Devs do read this and impliment when the merchant revamp comes around (or earlier). Seems pretty easy to just remove the 30 day limit. It would actually be less code and reduce load on the servers.

The point of the 30 day limit is that you have to be around every 30 days to keep your stuff in the world other wise it just stays there forever. A relist button would ease the pain without giving everyone a pass to store all their items indefinitely.

Isn't that what Vendor Maintanence is for? It would be a lot easier if they just capped the maintanence pool so it could only hold 30 days worth. That way you wouldn't even need to relist items but it would still require your attention and would be nice and easy to do. Think about it, Walmart doesn't need to restock the same item on the same shelf every 30 days for no reason. But they do need to give their employees some attention now and then (pay checks).

I honestly can't see anything wrong with that suggestion. I'm sure someone will come in with a different idea on why that is bad, but if that was implemented, that would make life alot easier on all merchants.

i think this is the best idea of them all, ive actually suggested it and the reason i was given for merchs not wanting it is in case they have to awol for more than 30 days they dont think their stuff should go poof ... but if they were awol for 30 days, it would go poof to the stock room any way. the thing is with the purge rather than maintenance cap, once in the stockroom, the vendor wont go poof until maintenance is drained. my suggestion would be this ...

  • change 30-day purge to a 30-day maintenance pool cap.

  • if no maintenance is paid within 30 days, all items on the vendor shuffle to the stock room.

  • vendor maintenance is now at 0 and no items are listed for sale on the common market.

  • once vendor is at 0 maintenance, all functionality of the vendor is removed (PAC/barking) and the "offer items" function will be removed.

  • all items in the stock room of a vendor will purge off in 90 days (3 months) giving the owner a total of 4 months to return and claim the property.

  • if items are still in a nonfunctioning vendor after the 90days, all items will either be deleted perminantly or be put into a data disk that can be uploaded onto a future vendor (or a similar system where owners could retrieve items), and the vendor will be deleted.

and as for the ppl who whine and cry "but i pay for the account even if im not playing right now" ... tough, you are making it impossible on the rest of us so just get over it ... if you know you are going to be unavailable for longer than 4 months, then you should either have a real life close friend log in occasionally to pay your maintenance or close your business for a season. structures now auto deduct from your bank account so set up a ton of factories and load them down with stuff ... get guld mates to hold your stuff ... something ... whatever ... but any businessman who ignored their business for that long would be out of business and it is their own fault ... why should the rest of us suffer because you dont want/cant tend to your business properly?

The 30-day cap along with the 90 day stockroom and data disk upon vendor death are two of the best ideas I've heard regarding this issue. The data disk especially is excellent--no more lost items if you have a situation that takes you offline for months on end. Five stars for both of you.

The vendors don't go anywhere when they are out of maintenance and haven't for a long time. They were vanishing and drving CS nuts with the complaints so now they just sit around until they are empty for 14 days. That is why the 30 day limit still exists. And now they don't even demolish your house if you don't pay the maintenance so they aren't likely to go back to removing vendors because of it.

A relist button that allowed you to quickly get your stock back in circulation would alieve most of the pain of the process.

Yes, yes, and yes! This is one of the main issues that I have trouble with! I just don't have time to go through my entire list and re-stock every single item. It shouldn't take hours to do this! A "Re-List All" button would be grand, or the maintenance cap set at 30 days and unlimited sale time. It's just wrong the way it is right now.

Personally, I like the 30 day move to stock room. If I'm not paying attention, it lets me know when something costs too much. It's easy to forget I have 5 "somethings" on the vendor when there are 100 item on that one. If you have problems with stuff falling off, perhaps you need to revisit your pricing or marketing strategy.

All these Listed Ideas Seem GREAT.. Except for the Post ABOVE this one.

But I still think .. Re-List All button .. would Ease all of our pain.

And I agree that Merchants that dont Keep up their buisness and Vendors SHOULD go out of buisness. You should only be allowd to run a shop if you regularly attend to it. If not then do what ever you gotta do to Close down for the season.
