Thread: You've GOT to be KIDDING!
Ok, maybe I'm just showing my ignorance, but is it True that you cannot sell resources on Vendors.
Please someone answer this it's freaking me out.

Yes and No
You can sell them on a terminal, but not on an NPC
If you sell them on an NPC you will see a massive bug that will cost you all your stock, and yet is you sell the on a terminal, you will be charged 103,455,604,326,003,312 Credits a day.
Pick your poison.
LastI saw you could sell resources on droids and terminals without any problems. using NPC merchants did have a bug (and might still) where if you split a stack of resources....the first person to buy one fo the smaller stacks would receive the whole amount you started with, and everyone else after that would end up buying a stack that they could not retreive from the available items list.

I'm CRUSHED then, nuclear nerfed, totally wiped out. Back to square one. Put a fork in me.

Is there any kind of DEV response out there abou this issue. I'm screwed.

Until a fix is in place, I have resorted to selling resources on NPC's in very large stacks (which never sell) and by selling smaller stacks for 3K on the local bazaar terminals in town. Not ideal solutions, but the only real way around it for now (besides sitting in town and shouting that I have resources for sale *grins*)

Selling on the Bazaar... Standing in the middle of town shouting...
That's pretty much how I'm doing it.
Why am I spending these points on Merchant again?

Why am I spending these points on Merchant again?
Good question
Not just good but an excellent question.
I'm not all that fond of the Merchant points or profession now. But I've been having a blast running around and dropping harvs places others wouldn't dare to get Vase Or other rare and hard to find stuff. I went for Novice merchant for the NPC because there's no way I can sell25K or even 5K lots of resources on the droid or term vendor, it's impossible to make a profit with them. So I do everything I can to get that NPC, load it and open for business. Hundreds of thousands of units of resources now appear to be gone. I'll have to say that if the devs can't fix this soon, I'm afraid I'll have to leave the game because of all the enemies I'm makeing by the second when my vendor steals their money and won't give them the goods, I'm trying to give it all back as it comes in but now I've got to cover that 5% tip surcharge.
People are gonna lynch me soon.

Well i just lost most of my sellable inventory and 3-4 days' work THAT I PAID FOR b/c of this bug. It being in the forums is nice, but it SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE PATCH NOTES! Hey SOE, how about a warning in the patch that would tell us that this bug you've known about for some time exists, so that we don't go wasting time and money only to have to search for the bug in the forums? There's no excuse for not warning people. Period. Atrocious. I don't know about anyone else who had this problem, but I'm writing to some of my favorite game mags, PCGAMER, Computer Gaming World, reporting this inexcusable lack of foresight. I'll make it simple. SOE owes me a pro-rata refund. My cable modem service has gone down before, and the cable company refunded the cost of those days. I consider that fair. SOE owes me the same.
Grrrrrr...

Monk's, currently closed due to over 1/2 of my sellable stock rendered useless due to this bug.
I've /bugged this. I've written out a CSR ticket for this. I've posted about this. I've begged for someone to help out on this. And the response has been a resounding.... nothing. Just for the humor of it all, pop over to the test server and see how many people are using the bazaar and whatnot. That should give you a good indication as to how much effort is being put into merchants. I have about a day and a half now before all my resources in my stockroom are history. Resources that were from the last shift that you can't harvest anymore. No one cares. Hell I'm not sure I even care anymore. No sense in getting worked up over it because it will never be fixed. There will be no compensation. They should have named this game Star Wars Episode 7: No Hope.
I guess I write this hanging on the last dying threads of hope that my resources will be salvaged and I can resume my crafting career. But if not, I guess I'll just persue other profession avenues while I wait to be hosed repeatedly in EQ2, lol. ![]()
