Thread: You've GOT to be KIDDING!
I'm bumping this to keep it close to the moderators posts since hopefully at least they look at their messages to us if they aren't looking at ours to them.
Jaye
I know this is not the architect forum, but I quit being an architect for this reason. I decided I could make more money selling resources to other architects then making structures. So I had probably 750k in resources on a vendor and poof...not 750k credits worth other. Well I surrendered the skills and went Bio Engineer/ Creature Handler. Nearly 2 weeks of resources from harvestors down the drain. So this bug has been arouund since beta guys. I just don't understand why they don't take the top 5 problems from each class and fix them one patch at a time. Heck go alphabetical for all I care just fix them.
Ok, all I started this thread and here's a bump and I just want to tell you my plan from here.
Today I sent a certified letter to the Creative Producer of the game explaining this bug that is killing me in the game. He should have it on Wednesday.
2. Tomorrow I will log into the customer support chat room at:
http://www.station.sony.com/en/instantchat.jsp
I shall harrass anyone I can until I get an answer of some sort. I also plan on breaking out one of my old wardialersand bombard the SOE phone numbers with a recorded message about this bug. I also plan on hitting any ranges of numbersI can identify.
I will post whatever happens here. They'll probably can my account but that's ok,because I have already pissedoff so manycustomers that I'll never be able to do anything with my main character. So maybe I'll come back and maybe I won't.
Either way I just want afreakin COMMENT AT LEAST about this issue. I don't care what it is, I just want to know why I wasted 3 weeks ofgame play.
Wish me luck,
Oh yah ---------BUMP
Jaye
PS I don't want to type this over again so could someone please copy and paste this as a new thread with the title JAYE's gone off the deep end over the vendor bug.
Thanks.
Resource Vendors...now you hit on a sore subject with me!!!
Terminal vendors can handle selling resources but only if you don't mind spending 1K of credits for four hours of use.
NPC vendors have a locked maint fee of ONE. This will be fixed soon and they will start costing tons too!
Now onto the NPC resource vendor bug... say you have a stack of 10,000 units and break it up to 10 stacks of 1k. you put all 10 stacks on your NPC vendor. A person comes along and buys a stack of your material. They will get all 10 stacks of the material making the other 9 invalid stacks. Person B comes along and buys a stack. they can't retrieve the item as it is not a valid resource stack. You also can not pull the valid stacks back off into your inventory as they are invalid. This has been a bug since late june and I don't even know if the DEV's have commented on it.
Here is how I use my vendor. I put one unit of the resource on my vendor and put it up as price 9999999999 then in the sellers description I put the quantity available and per unit price. I have an alt char that sits at the house and barks a message like this "The resource showcase vendor is for viewing only. The quantity available and price is in the seller description. Contact Misfit to buy" I keep the inventory on my alt so that it is always available to be sold when I am online. When I am offline the alt barks email what you would like to buy to misfit and he will contact you... It isn't the best system in the world and I lose out on a lot of point of purchase sales...but it is all that I can do until SOE fixes this bug.
I had 100K of resources stuck/lost on my vendor. after throwing a fit on the forums a forum CSR got an ingame CSR to help me.
I have made this thread my home page and will continue to bumg this to the top!!!!
I ran a successful power resource business till the crippling resource turnover bug on eclipse happened. I'm shut down till it's fixed. I usually carried 150k worth of power on my terminal vendor daily and while maint was about 5k/day, I still made a nice profit. It's truly is a balancing game. Having your vendor overstocked costs you money in maint. and not having enough stock on the vendor costs you customers.
It is more labor intensive (diametrically opposed to the vendors purpose), but it is doable. I tended to keep large quantities in reserve and not on my vendor. I always had a 'information' notice on my vendor advising how much additional is being held in reserve that is available for purchase with contact information.
But still, I long for the day when I can list all my power stock on the vendor and still be able to pay reasonable maintenance... can't we just have a max maintenance cost?
And for the love of god, give us a slider so people can select the quantity they want.
the first person to buy one fo the smaller stacks would receive the whole amount you started with, and everyone else after that would end up buying a stack that they could not retreive from the available items list.
Ah! I had two stacks of hide offered on my vendor and I was only ever able to get one. Now I know why!
1.) The devs don't care if you lost your resources. You are paying your $15 and most likely won't leave.
2.) You are paying the most money out of any MMORPG to play a game in which almost EVERY skill tree has serious bugs.
3.) These bugs are not all new bugs. Many serious ones have been around since beta and are easily reproducable. Only in the gaming industry would customers pay for a product that has flaws as big as these in them.
God I am glad I left.
this is very odd!!
i'm located on radiant server selling resources by the 1k ammount on a droid vender and i have YET to see a problem selling resources!!
just yesterday i made 65k in little under 4 hours. still not seeing your problems
and yes i did take a stack of 25k units and split them into 1k each to sell. and still no issue on non retrievable items or one person buying a small stack and getting them all...
very odd
Man oh man. I thought it was just the bothan "random" npc that was that bugged. So i submitted a ticket....waited a few days...had more customers send me complaints....then i scrubbed the whole thing. I set up a mon cal vender (I got hiring1) thinking it would be settled. I hope I get back in time after reset before anyone else buys anything.
So my question is, are droids les buggy with this. Anyone besides Nekid havingluck with droids?
And Nekid, if you have been what we have been through with the npc resource venders, you would see the problem.
well...since they have never even officially said this bug exists...maybe they fixed it without saying anything about it too.. I will take some small stacks of stuff and mess around with it tonight.
And yeah...the DEVS and CSR do care...they are just swamped! I got back the almost 200K of resources that I had stuck on my vendor...It just takes them a while to get to it!
