I'm concerned that the new "system" isNOT working correctly and I'd like to hear from people that have had their vendors disappear even thought they've met all the "requirements." So, if you have lost a vendor and you believe it was taken away INCORRECTLY, please post here and answer the following questions.
1) Do you currently have the Merchant skills necessary to maintain the vendor?
2) Did the vendor have items for sale?
3) Did the vendor have maintenance paid on it?
4) Have you either made a sale or listed a new item for sale from your inventory on the vendor within the last 2 weeks?
5) How long ago did the vendor disappear?
6) Did you receive any warning emails before the deletion, and if so, what type and how many?
Maybe this will help us sort out WHY vendors are being deleted and whether the system is working correctly.
Keep in mind that this thread is NOT for those who have dropped Merchant skills and believe that they should still be able to keep vendors. I'm sure you can find plenty of other threads to post those complaints in.

1. I am a master merchant with just one vendor.
2. Over 220+ items were listed (approximately 20 million resources actually)
3. Between 15k-50k of maintence was on it
4. No. I relist my items. Right now I have not been playing as much because of school and work, so I maintain my vendor.
5. Within the past 5 days, I checked it within that time frame.
6. I have absolutely no emails.
This is making me extremely mad. When I saw 20 million resources, I mean 20 million units valued at least around 40 million as majority of it was lowgrade.

Master merchant
1 vendor poofed the day of the assinine change on sept 21st
Vendor had at least 60 days of maintainance and was functioning normally
There was NO mail notification that this vendor had poofed or was even in jeopardy
This vendor had featured high end loot and art, so it is quite easy to understand that 14 days might pass before a sale was made... Fortuneately, most everything had sold, but I lost a painting that I paid 400k for and I sure as heck expect to have the painting or the cash returned.
I am done getting the shaft in the butt from Sony and told to live with it. This will be fixed or I will be done with vending in this lousy game. I want Sony to act like a business and stand behind their product and not act like a bunch of aholes when their product screws people over. If that can't happen, I might just have to finally give in to all my friends who tell me to quit wasting my time with a game they have all quit already.

CSR Andy replied to me again today and basically said I am sht out of luck... What utter bs...
I am on strike on Tempest....why the f would I continue to craft and vend things when crap like this happens and sony can't take any action to fix THEIR mistake...
Whole thing will continue to piss me off till it's fixed or I cancel.

The other things you need to include in these reports to make them more useful:
Server, Planet, Waypoint (general area is fine) of the vendor that was removed. The name of the vendor helps too.

I have already cancelled my account. When I was replied to by CSR, I was very bluntly and rudely told there was nothing that would be done. I used my vendor for storage and it was my fault. I don't want to detail my entire message here but my rant is in the removing vendors with maintence has to stop thread 100+ messages so far. Basically I was the #1 architect on my server, 1 out of 3 miners are mine. I chugged thru 6 million resources a week and generated almost 700 million credits within 3 months. I took some time off with school and work bearing down on me and I decided to leave crafting as I could not keep up with my servers demand. I decided to auction all my items off and the last bit, about 40 million worth of lowgrade I logged to post to find my vendor deleted. It's my fault, I should of read the knowledgebase to find that storage was very bad. Well I say screw that, I am a master merchant and actively worked with my inventory. I ran 2 factories litteraly 20 hours a day 7 days a week. I had to number my schematics and probably crafter well over 100 million worth of resources. I tried using houses and so back then (4 months after release I thought up using my vendors for storage because I could easily see my things to gather them and use them efficiently), I guess I can't complain since I only lost 40 mil of about 700 mil but the untold story is that during exams I didn't log to see my stuff had went to stockroom and lost the materials to make about 500 additional rate 14s (I had materials onhand to craft 1500 of them after release) and this resulted in a loss of about 225 million WIP income. I'm sick of trying to use skill in a game where intelligence is handicapped. Thanks SWG... but I sure as hell hope none of the current policies carry over to EQ2.

Master Merchant. At the time it dissapeared, I had six vendors.
2) Did the vendor have items for sale?
In the neighborhood of 200+ items, mostly vehicles: 48 swoops, some in crates, ~12 speederbikes, ~20 x34's, dozens of vehicle paint kits, backpacks, etc.
3) Did the vendor have maintenance paid on it?
Maintenance was paid well in advance on all of my vendors, typically over 60 days, often over 100 days.
4) Have you either made a sale or listed a new item for sale from your inventory on the vendor within the last 2 weeks?
I listed all of the swoops the week prior, fresh from the factory run.
5) How long ago did the vendor disappear?
Tuesday, September 14th to the best of my recollection.
6) Did you receive any warning emails before the deletion, and if so, what type and how many?
I received emails saying my vendor was in danger since I had not "visited" it, as well as intermittent messages that i could not have this many (six) vendors when I tried to list items. I visited the vendor, added items, etc. I sold vehicles and paint kits regularly.
I submitted a ticket, and was told it was a known issue, and was being fixed. I received an email the day of deletion saying the vendor was deleted due to no items for sale or no recent visits from me.
I submitted another ticket, and was told the game logs showed I deleted the vendor. I submitted multiple tickets, out of game emails, tried the tech support board, and even called phone support. I was consistently told "we cannot help you since the logs show you deleted the vendor."
(On a side note, customer service for sony should be changed to "we cannot help you department," thus saving lots of misdirected calls for assistance.)
Of course, I know when I delete a vendor, and I did not delete this one. And there is the question of the email the system sent telling me it was deleting the vendor for reasons that were invalid. However, no one in "customer service" has ever answered the question of why I got a deletion email if I deleted my own vendor with millions of credits worth of merchandise and maintenance on it.
To date, they have not replaced the vendor, its contents, or reimbursed me for the system induced loss.
I have cancelled my account, which expires at the end of this week. As it turned out, this was the final straw for me. The game certainly had its fun moments, but the utter and complete arrogance and lack of support on the part if sony is just too much. But, I would consider re-subscribing if they fixed their error, lol. I was glad to see this thread, so I could post this out in the open.

The name of the vendor: Vehicles and Custom Paint Kits (best I can recall - can't get ingame atm)
I still have the in game email saying the system was doing the deletion, not me.
Maybe this will help us sort out WHY vendors are being deleted and whether the system is working correctly.
Keep in mind that this thread is NOT for those who have dropped Merchant skills and believe that they should still be able to keep vendors. I'm sure you can find plenty of other threads to post those complaints in.

yes it had credits in it.
No it was not fuctioning but well under their 100 day turnover they announced.
Submitted ticket and evidently I am a liar.
Personally after this meat spawn to help a Doc friend.. I am done. I am tired of pay for a broke game that SOE just find new and interesting ways to break even more.
Final note... Screw you too SOE. I hope you all end up unemployed.

Well I managed my storage vendor (where I keep all my stuff for armor crafting, Over 120mil creds worth of junk and resources), on monday. It is now Thursday, and in that time, I recieved NO email (I triple checked), no warning, and all of the items, along with the vendor, have gone missing. Basically this is pretty much game over for me. The vendor has been used as a go between for my alts, so it has been used. I submitted a ticket and have had no news on it. Anyway, there's my info, now i'm gonna read this post and see what other people have had happen. Oh and btw, I am indeed a master merchant, with only 4 (now 3) vendors used. Oddly enough the vendor that NEVER gets used (my decorative vendor) is still there.... Gotta love the devs....

No I can't see the items.
I got a response from CSR saying to wait for server reset (as usual) and as usual it didn't work, so they sent ANOTHER reply directly following server reset that says that it was deleted due to a new "feature" (the one that maintains that 14 day unused vendors are deleted and a warning email is sent to the user). Of course, their excuse is that the notification email was never sent cuz the system was broken or disconnected, and then the usual hollow apologies for my inconvenience that are common place in their macroed responses....
Anyhow, still no new information on whether I or any of us will be getting our stuff back.

i think i've figured out enough to determine the fate of my 'vanished vendor', and the timeline involved.
this vendor was placed over 6 months ago, which i beleive is the source of the lack of email warning. i buy bone/hide/meat from this vendor, and consolidate it for resale (though i had been saving hide and bone for master AS). about 1/4 of the items i buy get relisted, and when a organic spawn is gone, i pull the varied stacks, and resell them or keep them. i buy the offers usually every couple of days, but from another vendor (and deal with the 'cannot retreive' message on every offer).
aug 31merchant changes (skill boxes change, new vendor rules)
-this was the 'big day' for use merchants, as i could now double my vendors. i placed my 6th vendor, and began re-organizing to take advantage of the new vendors. i am allowed 9 vendors now, and figure i'll start the grind for AS.
sep 6 last time i put an item for sale (extrapolated from csr log, and 'no-use' timer, see sep 20)
-in my reorganizing and harvest runs, i stopped by my vendor and listed a few things found in random packs. i would see my vendor again, as i have it timed with another in the same tent. this day MUST BE the last item offered/last purchase, as it was deleted 14 days after this.
sep 16 maint paid on vendor, items withdrawn
-last time i saw the vendor. i paid 10000 creds on both vendors in the tent, and bought any offers. i removed a couple items from the stockroom as well, as i was almost done with AS but needed a little more grinding-hide. i note that i have 24 days until my stockroom stacks start to vanish.
sep 20 vendor destroyed
-no email warning, nothing. this is the day it was deleted due to 'lack of use' due to csr logs. i am not aware of the vendor vanishing for another week, as i am squirrelled away clicking like mad to master AS. due to life, i am unable to log in from sep 22-27.
sep 21 rule change
-lack of use rule changed from 14 to 100 days. 1. day. too. late.
sep 27 the email
-one of my regular scouts drops me an email, asking about my destroyed vendor, and his offers on it. i check, no offers. i go out to my tent... no vendor. i send in a csr ticket. i alsowait about 4 hours, and logout.
-1 hour after i log out, i get a comment from csr1(no names unless i'm asked). basically, it states i should wait out a server restart, and if it doesn't show, add a comment.
sep 28 nada
-no vendor at startup. i add my comment, and finish grinding AS. i also bug the vanidhed vendor.
sep 29 still nada
-added another comment, knowing time is relevent in restoration. 48 hours and no word.
sep 30 another csr
-csr2 comments, stating that he 'could not find a vendor by the name i provided'. the csr proceeds to name 8 of my vendors (4 of which are on my other account, not the one in question), and asks for any other information. i pull up an email from a sale on march 30th with the exact vendor name, and comment the info. i also make note of the fact that those vendors are on another account, in case he's counting vendors.
oct 1 it's gone, too bad, you can't comment
-csr3 has found the vendor in the logs, and tells me it was deleted sep 20th due to lack of use. he tells me the owner must put an item up for sale, or a customer must buy an item to reset the unused flag. since it was destroyed by the server so long ago, and BY DESIGN (his words) a restore is not possible. he thanks me, tells me he hopes i can recover, and then closes my ticket so i can no longer comment.
even this does not jibe with the vendor rules... as on the 20th i should have gotten my 'warning' email, and then deleted on oct 4th.
i've decided to go for round 2 of csr tickets, good luck on collecting info.

Unfortunately the deletion of yours, mines, and everybody's vendor was intentional. There is no way in hell that it was on accident. They knew when they made this system change if they had announced it, started the timers then... that most players would of put into place measures to prevent their vendors from deleting so they patched this in with timers already set so as soon as the servers were brought up all vendors were deleted. I actually knew something was going on because my vendors for the prior 2 weeks had not been having me relist items from the stockroom. I just figured that maybe I had finally got all my things set to the point where I was simply relisting once every 30 days. I should of acted on my suspicions and investigated further as sept 20th cost me 38 million credits and forced me to send emails out to my auction winners that the goods they won from me in the trade forums had been deleted by SOE. I have since cancelled all 5 of my acccounts and wish everybody good luck =)
