heyas,
ok, an odd little update. today one of my first new post changes vendors dropped all goods to the stockroom. i only stocked this vendor the day i placed it, though i have been selling items. at server startup today, i ran to the mall to get it registered, so i can confirm it was on the map before the items dropped. i started my factories, and logged for 6 hours.
when i logged in, i got the emails about the items. i checked the map, and the vendor was still up. i checked EVERY unsuccessful email as i deleted it. i checked the stockroom first from another vendor, 1200km from this particular vendor. all items fallen from the vendor had 7 day timers. i would normally relist them from there...
my spidey senses were tingling... so i physically went to the mall. when i entered the mall (which did not seem to need to load when i entered, but the timing of this is important) i got the bark from another's vendor at the exact second i got the 'vendor empty' email, which was 4 1/2 hours after the last item dropped.
it seems your proximity to an empty (maybe damaged, maybe non-use flagged) vendor triggers the email. i'm not sure if you yourself need to 'load the structure' that holds the vendor at the time, but this may be an important trigger that's been missed.

Just an update, since many other threads now exist on this topic, I decided to use this one to continue my tale of woe. Supposedly, though I know this to be untrue, the CSR's have found that I did not use that vendor (the vendor through which I manage ALL of my stock, and have for the last two months). So all of my hard work is gone and i'm having to rebuild on the little money I have. Thankfully I still have some items for sale and I have all of my buildings, empty though they may be... This really needs to change. If they can see activity on the vendor, and see if the vendor is full using an automated system, then they can stop deleting full vendors, and start deleting empty vendors only. Of course, with all going on with JTL, I doubt we will see this change any time soon. Enjoy the cull everyone, I have a feeling this had no other purpose than to strip the database in prep for JTL's massive additions (god knows if the DB can't handle the ground game, JTL will destroy the game economy permanently...).

18 vendors in my shop all disappeared at once.
Every single vendor owner is qualified to own said vendor(s) and carry the amount of items that were held on each vendor.
the new shop is only 4 days old, as we just moved to this location.
My shop is located on (Starsider) Corellia, outside Coronet, at /way 630 -5175

The surrounding houses do not have this problem. It's the second time this has happened (to my knowledge).
It happened supposedly (as a customer said) when he bought a rifle from one of the Weapons vendors inside the building.
I do not believe they were "removed permanently" as this has happened one time before, and they are still registered on the planetary and overhead map, and have shown up again with no missing stock or sales.
As such, I received no emails or notice. Just "poof," right in front of the 4-5 of us that were in there.
Everyone else 'sees' what I see, all the decor in the shop is there, just no vendors.
All the vendors were NPC type.

Can you see the items in the "missing" vendors if you look on one of the new vendors you create?
Have you tried relogging?
Running a full scan?
Sitting in the building for 5 minutes to see if they eventually show up?
If none of this works, it sounds like you may need to submit a CSR ticket.

Yes, it's not just me that can't see them, it's everyone.

Well if you can still see the items, I think that means that they haven't been purged.
I have noticed lately that it takes longer and longer for all my vendors to load when I enter my store. But then I'm talking a change from like 2 sec to 10 sec, certainly nothing on the scale you're dealing with but it's a definite change nonetheless.
My suggestion would be to NOT create and delete any vendors that have the same name as your current (missing) vendors because the CSR will just see that you've deleted the vendor but will think that it's the missing vendor and a fresh vendor. Then ride them about it because clearly your items still exist.

- Yea, all 18 that disappeared at the same time, with 1000's of items on them.
I deleted the ticket. Not once in over 100 tickets have I recieved feedback from a comment. Not even a reply to a comment.

My vendors have only disapeared off of the planetary map. Yes they are full and yes maintenance paid.

Yes, approximately100 items were left
3) Did the vendor have maintenance paid on it?
Yes, Paid for 180 days
4) Have you either made a sale or listed a new item for sale from your inventory on the vendor within the last 2 weeks?
Yes, I was offline for about 3 weeks but i had recieved emails on sales spanning up until about a week ago
5) How long ago did the vendor disappear?
It had to have dissapeared within the last week
6) Did you receive any warning emails before the deletion, and if so, what type and how many?
I had recieved the change notification for the Merchant rules, however that was all, with the exception of the sales notifications.
Needless to say my dissappointment in the lose of about 2mil in stocks has caused me to leave the profession. The truth of it is that I have grown accustom to "random" events that cause fiscal dmg to my account. But LOL doesnt this add to the realism. Not to poke fun at anyone else's losses, my condolenses to you if you were hit harder than i was. I just hope that unestablished players are able to recover from their loses.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Has even a single case of replacement happened for any person who lost vendors they were qualified for? I haven't heard or seen of one.

I am a Master Merchant and I have 3 vendors loaded with millions of resources. All my vendors are paid for about 60 days. They seem to disappear every once in awhile. I can access them, when this happens, on my other vendors on another planet and see all my product but they don't appear when I am in front of them. This has happened about 10 tmes now. They always seem to show up the next day when the server resets, but it gets very frustrating to say the least!

I have the same problem (Look here) and it seems it has something to do with the serverzones (i talked to a friend that has exact the same problem...)
HilsborneNumber4 for example has his Vendors Coronet, at 630 -5175 - mine are at 530 -5200, so it maybe has something to do with the location.
Please Doc can you talk with a Dev and get some more informations? I tried to talk to some CSR via the Launchpad Chat but all they say is the normal Blah Blah (write ticket - i did... 3 times now, and the other people in my shop too, we got not a SINGLE response).

Yes, I am a Master Merchant

Yes, I had 1 item on the vendor for sale

I had just created the vendor, deposited 20k into it, put 1 item on it, left my house and went 100m to check another house, returned within 5 minutes and the vendor was gone.

Yes, I had just created the vendor and put 1 item up for sale.
5) How long ago did the vendor disappear?
About 20 minutes ago.

I received NO warning concerning a problem with the vendor, in fact, I had just received a message that the vendor was operating normally.
Update: The vendor has returned as mysteriously as it disappeared. I didn't put a ticket in for it. I guess a server reboot fixed it??
