Thread: CSR reports merchants tent must be destroyed to transfer

Tonight CSRPaulMA told myself and Master Merchant Crill that you can no longer transferstructure on merchant tents and all vendors in them must be deleted and the structure REDEEDED completely to plausibly transfer it.


This literally removes the ability of myself (as militia) and my mayor to control placement within our player city. I have to trust someone to magically position something correctly, or pray to God that they aren't a spy planting a private structure once I've given them zoning rights.


For God's sakes, Doc, can we please have some feedback on the devs over this insanity. I was holding 4 tents for people transitioning and now I am stuck so people don't lose their vendors.

Now CS.Live.CSR_AmandaT informs me on my ticket about another tent that the command still works, AS LONG AS YOU DELETE ALL THE VENDORS IN THE TENT.


We have tents in our town that have existed for 8+ months with mall-type vendor settings in them. It is nigh impossible to accomodate this situatiuon.


THERE IS NOT ENOUGH STORAGE FOR PEOPLE TO EMPTY THEIR VENDORS AND REMAKE THEM.

Sounds like you will have to shuffle the vendors into a new tent/house nearby, redeed the tent and place it. Then shuffle all the items back in. A big PITA but what can ya do.

This is absolute bologna. You can also add ANY structure that has a vendor in it. Post patch 10, you can no longer transfer a structure that has a vendor(s) in it without deleting the vendor(s) first. I've posted about this in a couple of threads already.


This is becoming a nightmare for me too. The owner of a mall where there are 8 vendors is dropping Merchant and pursuing Jedi. She wants to free up her lots to devote to storage on another planet for her Jedi quests. I have one vendor that has over 300 items on it and the other two probably have at least 100 on each of them. We spent countless hours sorting through nasty looking vendors in order to get the ones we wanted and this all occured about a month ago. There is no way I can take off my inventory, delete the vendors and have the structure transferred. I simply do not have the room!


Why weren't we notified that this "nerf" was going to be in this patch so if there were any transfers that needed to be done, they could have easily been completed prior to patch 10?

Dont know if this is related, but last night I just happened to try and transfer a brand-new just-dropped Merchant tent to a Guild mate so they could then transfer it to the Merchant it was meant for (who would be on after I logged), and I got an error message saying that the person I wanted to transfer it to did not have the skill to have it. I have never tried to transfer a tent to a non-Merchant before, but I was under the impression this bug had not yet been fixed. It is now apparently.

I have asked for an explanation for the vendor transfer error message. I'm not sure what it is trying to prevent or what the reason is for it being coded.

So far I haven't had any response for that or any of the other post pub 10 questions.

Without any personal experience with this CRS. the Kett galaxy has had alot of problems with her, her actions, and lack of knowledge of the game.

looks like we are going to have to do this the hard way. I have 9 lots open let me know what I can do to help out. Once I get this tent gone and re-role I will have 10 that you can have till things get shuffled around. I beleive my alt still have 4 lots as well.

The problem is that people have hundreds to thousands of items on the vendors and no where to put them. In addition we can't even get the people to log on and you cannot redeed the tent until they pull their vendors. It's a vicious circle mate.


How are we going to move that many items out of the vendors?

Donno . The only way I can think of is to have people put down another house and replicate the vendors till the tent can be re-deeded then replicate them again in the new tent. Now this is a very difficult and stupid way to solve this problem but once again we seem to have to fend for our selfs. I know the tent that I own has a total of about 600 items so its not porhibitive just very time consuming.I cannot speak for the other tents though since I have not taken an inventory. The worst part isnone of this is a controlled solution. There must be lots of trust between the parties involved since we are talking about millions of creds worth of product. I wish I had a better answer

No Merchant skill at all. They were just helping to make a transfer to a friend whos several time zones away. I'll just have to get up at 4am long enough to do it I guess...not a huge deal. Like I said, I've never tried it before....I'm too nervous that it will get fixed and the tent will get deleted or something and all my stuff will poof.

Efficiency 4 is a requirement to hold the tent mate.
