Thread: CSR reports merchants tent must be destroyed to transfer

Well I have delt with AmandaT before and she has helped me with my problem. The problem at hand is not one a CSR can fix though .

looks like we are going to have to do this the hard way. I have 9 lots open let me know what I can do to help out. Once I get this tent gone and re-role I will have 10 that you can have till things get shuffled around. I beleive my alt still have 4 lots as well.

Sometimes you can retrieve items from the stockroom on another vendor if they're close together.


I'm NOT sure what happens if the vendor the stuff is on gets deleted, I would not risk it.


If you use the "Sell Item" button in the stockroom, it will put back up on the original vendor, not the vendor you're currently accessing, so you'll have to retrieve it anyway.

Can the new "encumbrance" feature help?


Since we can go over 100% in our inv now, how far can we go over?


If no limit, then one person could hold everything (they just could not move) and then put in on an adjacent vendor.

can we get TH or someone to respond to this issue?

Sorry, guess I wasnt clear in the first post. I know of the requirement, but I was under the impression that there was a bug where a Tent, Cantina, or Med Center could be transferred to an toon without the needed skills. Again, I never before tried it, and was going on the assumption that the bug was, in fact, true. Thats why I tired to do it in the first place...I thought you *could* transfer a tent to someone without Eff IV.


I guess no resoulution yet, huh?

The more I hear about this, the more I think it might be intentional. My friend once again submitted a bug report and got a message back sounding like this:


Iam sorry you are having difficulties, I know that it must be frustrating, but I assure you, the game is working as it was intended.You must remove the vendors from the market. (I'm not using quotation marks because I'm not sure if that was the exact wording)


I really hope this is just a bug and will be removed ASAP.

I have an unreplied CSR ticket regarding this issue....



  • This was attempted in a PA hall with 50 vendors

  • It was never documented anywhere

  • It happenedstarting withpub 10


I'll get the exact error message later....but you get an error trying to transfer ANY structure with a vendor inside (regardless of who owns it)........GRRRR

Now the cantina itself is easy enough , no vendors there.

But we have a BIG problem with our mall, we have around 50 vendors in our mall, and this will take a hell of a work to complet such a transfer for all our crafters

We have a player about to retire and we attempted to transfer 1 Cantina and 1 Mall from her account to 2 other accounts and ran into this bug. Well I certainly hope it's a bug, I don't see why they would have put it in intentionaly. None of us asked for it, it would not resolve any major issues, it's not a fix of any kind.


As it stands now it is certainly causing grief to many of us that operate player cities and transfer lots and ownership and players come and go.

It make sense that the person has to have the skills to hold the tent, but requiring you to take out all the vendors - just stupid, totally unecessary.


To get around the storage problems, setup another house nearby to put temporary storage vendors in. Open the new vendor and put it on the regional level and you will see everything from the other vendors - pull everything into your stockroom. Then withdraw items into your inventory and relist them up on the storage vendor. You have to pull them into your inventory or they will just be relisted back on the original vendor. Its still a huge pain, but it at least saves you the trouble of transporting items back and forth, back and forth. Then when you have your new mall ready to go, you gotta do it once again.

my csr ticket was responded to....i deleted it before i got a screenshot


but..


It said something like 'The vendor must be removed before you can transfer a structure, and you may have to remove other vendors as well'.


Can we get TH to respond to this?

Change in publish 10 that was not documented with no dev comments. CSR's are saying nothing helpful either....
