Garva: This is not a sky is falling manner that everyone is taking - this is a realistic and collective acknowledgement that the developers are really undertaking a very bad idea with the acknowledgement and understanding that we have no explanation, justification, or even logical reasoning behind this adjustment - and requesting that the powers that be actually stop and take a second to realize just how much of a difference these changes are going to make in the minds of many players of this game and how many players might just up and leave.
Funny that you compare the Developers to God in this one.. there's something to be considered in the differences.
See... God will exist whether or not the Catholics believe in him - but odds are those Churches aren't going to exist for long if parishoners stop going and paying their monthly fees....
Thus the Developers should probably be willing to but a weeeee bit more faith in the concerns of their followers than God needs to.

TH should be makign a post today about it as well, just don't know when.
I hope so. No news was announced before this went to TC.
DocSavage apparently had no warning about this happening.
And we haven't heard a thing from the Devs in over 5 days regarding this (although this does spans the weekend).
I hope they make an announcment with some explanation soon.
I do not want to seem like a bandwagon jumper but this one I have a vested intrest as my wife is a Master Tailor / Merchant dabbler. She is already working on "compliance" out of fear of loosing her wares and I do not blame her for doing so. She spent 4 hours last night moving all her stuff around out of fear and I am sure a lot of people are doing the same.
For the recond 600 (non-master) total items is not a lot and I am scared of what the reprocussions if this is final what will happen. With some dual crafting masteries and master merchant you could make one of each item and be 1/2 + way to that cap without any selection to choose from. I understand the logic behind the decision but not to this degree.

Not sure I'd use the "sky is falling" metaphor. I think people view what is currently on the test servers as dark clouds in the sky on the horizon. There's a storm coming and it is going to rain all over the merchants parade. Unless the players can produce a sufficient amount of clammer, then the thunder that is rolling in will drown them out.
I understand you're trying to play the "remain calm.. ..all is well" card, but if I were a merchant, I'd be screaming my bloody head off. This proposed change is going to hit them worse than any other type of "fix" I've seen come in the game. Even the MCH "fix" (a few months back) didn't impact as much as this will; and I was an MCH.

You know, if I see a contractor repairing my house, using obviously substandard materials, I don't need to let him finish before I kick him out and say there's a big problem. I stop him and let him know there's a problem right away.
I don't care what smoke and mirrors you throw our way, it should be obvious by now there's a problem. A problem, that if it isn't resolved soon, will cost YOU alot. In the form of canceled acounts.

GarVa, if "god" was creating the sky and it rapidly moved in a downward direction from its original position it sure would appear to be falling to those under it. But perhaps if "god" would have given some advanced notice ro warning that the sky was going to do this perhaps all the people looking up wouldnt be so frightened and maybe have even told "god" that they needed more headroom than the new sky position allowed, it may have even saved "god" alot of time trying to calm everyone down.

Sorry, but Gods macro was nerfed, so he didn't know....
He was too busy restocking vendors every 15 minutes.
