This game has just snapped my last nerve. My installations vendor disappeared 3 weeks ago and the CSRs came up with excuses as to why they could not help me on it. That was my second vendor lost. The first was my furniture vendor. Tonight I was taking items out of my resources vendor's storeroom and putting them back on for sale. There was mostly foraged food items and some other resources in there. My major resourcesbeen taken out of the storeroom this past Friday and put back up for sale. I am talking about hundreds of thousands of units of fuel, organics andinorganics. I was quite proud of the variety of inventory that I had amassed in that vendor.

While reselling foraged food items I accidentally resold 1k of flora food for the price of one foraged food item. I IMMEDIATELY WHEN TO THE FRONT END TO LOCATE IT AND CANCEL THE SALE, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THERE. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THERE. ALL OF MY HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF UNITS OF RESOURCES HAD DISAPPEARED RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES!!

I of course, wrote a CSR ticket on it, but I am sure that I will get the usual "blah, blah, sorry for the stress this has caused you, but we are unable to verify what you had lost, blah, blah, blah".

So thats it for me. I don't trust the Merchant area of this game at all. IT IS BROKEN AND NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING TO FIX IT!! I am disgusted with the amount of time that I have wasted playing this game. I have never encountered a game before with so much potential, but was as broken as this one is! I played Everquest for 2 years and had a blast. I thought it would be really cool to play the crafting side of a MMORPG this time. What a mistake that was! ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

He said the vendor vanished, that means that there is not filter to set. If I am to understand him.

First off, I would like to appologize for my outburst. I have experienced so many losses that I have not been reimbursed for, I just snapped when this last disappearance occured.

Nikii_Nightstrider what you suggested to check was the very first thing I checked because I have had that experience in the past as well. I was click on ALL. I even wentto the Resources section to see if I couldsee my resources and nothing was there, period.

Today I logged on to see what the CSRs had tosay about it and they are allback! Everything is there now!

So now I don't know whatto do. I HAVE to depend on the vendors. It is my lifeline to my public and allows to have a real world life. If I can only sell items when I am logged on or just from the bazaar, I and theMall that I manage is doomed and a big reason for me playing SWG will have been eliminated.

I have to trust being a Master Merchant is an advantage to playing as a crafter and not a disadvantage. The vendors must be stable. We have to trust that our contents will be there. The Devs have got to get rid of this ridiculous 7 day sales only in our own vendors. And please, please, please stop penalizing us by deleting our assets in the store rooms. The Devs have got to come up with some other ways of doing this.

Look, I am perfectly aware that SWG is trying something very unique. It was what I had longed for in Everquest, a viable crafting system. Maybe the popularity of the crafting is far beyond what SOE expected, I don't know. The bottom is that we are here and if they want to keep us here, they have got to eliminate all of the ways that Merchants, Architects, Artisans and others can easily lose their resources, crafts and installations.

They have now made it much tougher to lose harvesters, lose resources and products in factories and tolose houses. Now they have to make it AS TOUGH to lose Vendors and products in Vendors. I have experienced every way there is and has been,to lose items. I would like to set new goals that I would like to achievein this game and I can't do that if I continue to lose enthusiasm for the game because of unexplicable of unrealistic losses.

I know how some of you guys feel with the vendor losses. I was on vacation in Florida and had left my auctions running. I had intermittent access to a PC where I could check my account, but I didn't consider that the decay time on the vendors was only 3 days instead of7 . (Which incidentally, I have not found ANY documentation to tell us this little fact)

I lost over 450,000 units of inorganics, 8000 (approx) units of various organics, and about a dozen factory crates of low-end blaster weapon components. I have been currently butting heads with 4 different CSRs to get some kind of relief on this, as this was somewhere in the neighborhood of 3,000,000 credits worth of materials considering the expired/high-stat resources my vendor lost. I get the standard "unable to verify what you have in the storeroom" and "unable to replace losses of ingame items" line from the CSRs.

I am sooooo close to dropping both SWG and EQ if customer service is going to be this poor.

If you would simply stop bothering CSR's with the fact that you did something wrong, trying to correct your mistake by trying to get a reimbursement (one you don't deserve) then maybe the CSR's would have time to respond to real issues in a timelly manner.

It's people like you who are the cause of the long response times of the Ingame Customer Service.

I am hoping this is a joke. The fact that we can lose thousands or even millions of credits of merchandise due to a undocumented "feature" that deletes items in our stockroom is something that CSRs should take care of. The only way a user would know that the stock room deletes items (not that it is not at a true set interval) is to read my guide or spend hours reading this forum. This game makes it so I (a casual gamer) has to login at least evey other day. You know I would like to be able to go away for the weekend and not lose half my stuff.

It is people like you that need learn to think of others.

If someone leaves his vendor on whilst taking a holliday for more then 7 days, knowing that vendor drop their items into the stockroom after 7 days, then yes, he's at fault. Even if it isn't documented, it's the players own responsability to find out and understand how things work, that's one of the key features of MMORPGS. If that person then /ticket 3 more times, after being told the first time already that it's his own error and nothing can be done, then yes, this person is causing a stress on the Customer Support Service. And he darn well knows he does. Why does he do so? In hopes of getting another CSR that will feel pitty (how unlikelly the chance)

That time those CSR's spend on him, yet again explaining everything, is time taken from other custiomers who do have a real issue.

People that do that and then also complain about how "unfairly" they have been treated are the bane of every online game. I was Senior Counselorfor over threeyears on Ultima Online and I can tell you that 4 to 5 individuals can keep a full team of CSR's occupied for hours a day (so they cannot attend people that have real issues) simply re-ticketing over and over and over the same issue that they caused themselves.

People like that are sickening and whenever I come accross one (and I've met to many in SWGalready who bluntly admit to such behaviour) I will not and shall not refrain from telling this person the truth.

My feelings is that this is just a game. If you get frustrated, then you are spending too much time in front of the computer screen. Go watch a movie or hang out with your freinds for a few days. I do this when the game starts to frustrate me and I take a few days off. Then I come back with a better outlook on the game.

Just goes to show, ALWAYS relog.

And if that doesn't work, wait for the server reset.

THEN blow your top.

I've had so many strange things happen - like my HOUSE not showing up. Only to find it the next day.

Boy, were MY stats (RL) screwed up for the duration of that incident.

By now my initial reaction to these situations is "Oh craaaap..." and then relog.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
