Big thanks to Marqie for compiling these issues. Here are the designers’ responses to the top 5 issues (optional 6th is the Correspondent’s pet issue). Our next publish focuses heavily on overall profession issues. We also should be hiring an assistant community manager soon to be in more frequent and direct contact with you.

1) Vendor Inventory – Items get stuck in the Stockroom of the vendors and become non-retrievable.

We are working very hard on this issue. It’s one of our top priorities. We hate this bug!

2) AD Skill Tree – The AD skill tree needs to be addressed

a) ADI – Barks work 50%, and eventually stop working.

b) ADII – Custom Barks does not function.

c) ADIII – Works much like ADI.

d) Novice Merchant – There should be a fix for premium sales in the Bazaar.

This should be fixed as of the last patch. Let us know if the changes work for you, and if there is anything else you’d like to see.

3) Vendor List – An explanation of how this works is needed. Is it currently bugged?

You should see some major fixes to the Vendor List as of the last update. Once again, let us know what you think about them. J

4) Changes to the Vendors/Shop – Make vendors easier to use.

a) Have a way to change prices without withdrawing the sale.

b) Vendors should not be killable, many people grief Merchants with this.

c) A tool that allows tracking of sales, rather than the email spam.

Killable vendors should be fixed as of the last update, and the UI should be improved as well. A tool for vendors to better track sales is a great idea, but isn’t something we can add quickly. We will add it to the list of things to do though.

5) Ways to Make a Shop More Noticeable – There needs to be more variation between shops and houses.

a) A flag on top of the house.

b) Allow shops to place items on their porches.

c) Real Signage.

d) An NPC on the porch barking.

We’re going to add vendor tents that will help distinguish shops from housing. How does this work for you?

6) Shop Furniture – Add furniture specifically made to be placed in shops.

We agree completely. We’ll look into adding some for you.

Regarding #2....

Ad barking still isn't working as of yesterday. So, that definitely has NOT been fixed with the patch.

Vendor tents? Like the ones in the city with the poles and the canvas stretched across them?

Dude... they should make a Star Wars and Castlevania cross-over game. Yeah!

While it is nice to hear that the developers have looked at our concerns, the old saying remains true:

Actions speak louder than words.

I'll be much happier when they have actually fixed the issues that make being a merchant effectively impossible.

I still have to re-register my merchant daily so Advertising 3 is still broken.

Any chance of having street shops in cities? Player cities perhaps?

Hit submit too soon. To continue, AD I barking will enable, and the vendors will bark out the advertisements for a very limited amount of time. But after a while they go mute again.

Does the customized barking stay on?? I only have the 'beginner' barking right now, and that definitely still shuts off after a couple hours.

And yes, will someone please fix the map?! I'm tired of having to fix that every morning.

How about the fact that when you give the clothing to the NPC vendors to wear, they thank you for it and then don't put it on?

After server resets/restarts, any vendors who were registered or who had ad barking still think they are setup for those functions but they no longer are. So you have to "unregister" it and then "unregister" it again to re-register them on the planetary map.
