Thread: Merchant Issues Designer responses
I think the Vendors not being able to have resources on them SHOULD be an issue on this list. It's a total type of product we cant' sell at all due to trust issues with costumers. If you get a work around to work (I haven't
) you still have people who won't buy b/c they don't think you can be trusted. I've never cheated a costumer and don't want to. I hate being called a liar/thief. Please address this issue ASAP. I think it's thenumber 2issue behind the Vendor Inventory issue.
AD Skill Tree - who cares about ad. if you can't place your goods for sale ![]()
Vendor List - not really that much of a game stopping issue

Please Holo, I beg that you read this message above the spam of personal complaints...if only for a moment.
Could you comment, however briefly, on the developers 'vision' of the merchant class, it's role in the SWG game and what we can expect to see in the future, beyond the fixes you mention? Are we an 'elite' class or just a side-branch?
Thank you for your consideration,

quick idea halo......
MAIL BOXES! take 5 of my storgae spots on my house make them into a drop area for people. So a friend can drop an item or two in it you can empty it. you can even make them like vendors and add costs or something.(though that would up the complexity.)The only problem i see is griefers filling the box all the time with junk but that's not that bad considering they have to run by your house to due it everytime you empty it. I think this would be great! just wanted to see what you thought
you could have it conected to the buildings sign as a radial option
that would make it a quick code thing no graphics involved
I could only dream of dropping stuff off to customers haveing resources delivered to my house when i'm not onine /sigh dreams ![]()
oh oh!! to stop griedfing make it count against a certian personal container... so if i drop of 5 things that's all i can do until I pick them up (rejected offers or mistakes) or the other guy picks the up and places them on his account. I know you are concerned with the DB sever getting to much crap
also wanted to add.
get ride of effenacy, its a totaly pointless instead maybe put "house advertiseing" were at AD 1 you can place a banner and at AD 2 you can have a flag and AD 3 you can have a blinking light like on some havesters or something, and douse anyone know what he ment by a vendor tent? and can you tell us how you get merchant xp right now because it seems to have changed?
We’re going to add vendor tents that will help distinguish shops from housing. How does this work for you?
My initial reaction is why? Do you mean these tents will replace our current houses? well a big NO thanks to that. How can we comment on something we are given NO details about??????
Vendor Tents sound TERRIABLE. Where would you setup your displays, cause I'll bet all you'll basically get is a vendor with a tent covering over his head.
Much rather have special effects on our houses like a bunch of ballons above it at Ad IV and Fireworks ever 30 mins at Master Merchant.

I think I would rather keep my medium house then to pitch a tent. When we asked for a more "Shop" like structure I was thinking more along the lines of a medium house with a special floorplan, with a very large room that is always public, and a back room intendedfor storage and crafting stations. We should be able to toggle the"backroom" between private and public. I currently use a medium corellian house as my shop, and I really would like for only myfront room to be public, and my back rooms private.
This may not be the best forum to suggest this, but I would also like to see special "crafter" houses. This would basically be a meidum house, but with slightly less floor space then a normal medium house. This house would actuallyhave a factory builtinto it. You would have to have master artisan in order to own one of these houses. There would be a differant style house for each planet (naboo, tatooine and corellia) and a differant house based on each differant type of factory. Perhapsa factory deed would be used in the scematic for these houses.
lol, I'd rather have my inventory off my vendor for once than have any of the bells and whistles added. I currently can't do anything artisan-wise because my vendors are holding all my valuable resources from the prior resource pool hostage. Now that there's been a shift on Radiant, I need those more than ever.
Hopefully the developers will read this and maybe comment on it...
I noticed where my house is there seems to be some serious rubberbanding going on as well. I don't see this at the houses of my friends who live fairly close. They noticed that they could not put a house down on one side of me but could on the other. One friend speculated that he thought it was because I was on the border of a zone. I started thinking about that and remembered hearing something about a duping issue or something involving the zone borders. I don't know if any of that is related but it just seemed like something that should be considered. Maybe whatever fix was in place forthat issue has effectively bugged the merchants near those spots?
I'm desperate now. I don't want to be a merchant anymore. I will stick with the bulky terminals if it means getting my inventory back. I am crippled as an artisan and as a businessman and continue to get the message that my service ticket is unread every time I log in. It feels a bit like a slap in the face. I understand a lot of people are having issues and I'm not alone, but this needs to be addressed before new stuff is added to compound the issue. That's just my opinion.
