Ok, so I pick up management 2, time to make another vendor. I'm a melee weaponsmith, and my GRAND plan is to have 4 vendors in my shop, each one selling one type of weaponry that melee smiths can make (1handed, 2handed, unarmed, polearms). I have the Unarmed and Polarm vendors made, and a generic third vendor for 1 and 2handed weapons. So I go to make a 2handed weapons vendor, I'm gonna take advantage of my Hiring 4 muscles, make him an Ishi Tib, and name him "Two Handed Weapons" how creative, yes?

Try something a little less obscene.

Obscene? How is that obscene? Try again... "One Handed Weapons" Same... "2 Handed Weapons" bleh... ok, how about "2H Weapons" no, still obscene... "Two-H Weapons"? Gah... "T-W-O H-A-N-D-E-D WEAPONS" Whee, there we go... Wait... I don't want a vendor named that... Crap...

The name filter is a bit weird in a few places... plus sometimes the problem isn't that it's on the "obscene" list, the problem is it's already taken or something, but you're getting the wrong error message.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA...that's EXACTLY the same problem I had. Oh God, that is hilarious. LOL.

Yeah, I named my vendors "Swords", "Heavy Swords and Axes", "Polearms","Vibro Knucklers", and "Power-Ups and Other Stuff"....Other stuff being a hidden hint that that's where I put my guns, when/if I make some.

I have my 6th vendor named "D'Tox Weapons Inc", and he's registered on the planetary Map.

I tried called one 'Wookiee Wear'. Apparently the word 'wookiee' is obscene...

Oh and in case you were wondering, 'Clothes for those tall hairy humanoids' doesn't fly either.

I ended up naming that vendor 'W-ookiee Wear'.

That's odd, I've seen a vendor named Wookiee Wearables before... or was that Wookie Wearables.... now I'm not sure.

I thought ALL numbers were unusable in the filter. At least, I know that's true with droids. You can't name yours R2-D2 or C-3PO, you have to spell out the numbers.

That's annoying.

all punctuation is obscene.. no periods, commas, exclamation marks, etc..

It realy stinks for our Guild. We had to name it "Local One Forty Two" LOFT.

Try this guys.. I named all my Vendors in our guild like this:

Briah -Weapons-

Niya -Clothing-

Grinja -Armor-

It let me do it just fine in that format.. so my npc had a name and a 'title' that ppl could easily identify. It looks good on them (doesn't look good here).
