Hi,

Is it possible to create a guild only mall? I would like to restrict access to guildmates for a few of my vendors, does anyone know how to do this....i.e. what buildings can I put them in and restrict access to the building(guildhall?..house?).

As far as I know, you can only place a vendor and keep it in a public building.

Thanks

Nope, you cannot restrict access to buildings with vendorswithout usingbannings. And the banlist is too small to encompass everyone except your guild.

Are there sections of a guild hall you can restrict access to like the lower levels or something like that....? I have heard about guild only malls just don't know how they work. Supposedly a PA called TOG on Tatooine (Valcyn) has such a beastie. Anyone else heard of this?

Which is a shame, really.

The devs SAY they want to promote groups, and then refuse to perform the underlying economic functions that do so.

At a recent event, devs stated they had no idea there was such a small ban list limit on structures. Seems to me if they added:

ban notguild:GUILD

It would solve everthing. This would ban all guilded persons not of the listed guild affiliation.

My guild has done this this way: put a very high cost for entry into the structure and then place everyone in the guild on the admin list so they don't have to pay the fee to enter. Of course, you have to trust your guild member well enough to place them all on the admin list. Assuming you do, this can work.

Thats not a bad idea accept the max entry fee is 50k credits given that some of the tapes and stuff we offer to the quild are worth 1-5 million and we sell them with a 75% discount to guildmates it would be worth it to pay the entry fee, of course one would have to know what was in there or notbe paying attention to the entry fee(which I have been guilty of sadly).

Just had a thought -whats thelowest time you may allow a person to enter a building, if it kicked them out in 1 min that might work. I assume if your on the admin list you never get kicked out since you don't pay the fee.

Another question....I think the answer isabsolutely not, is there a way to allow other player access to your vendor .i.e able to pull and place items?

There is currently no way to admin someone to a vendor you own. Only the merchant who placed the vendor can stock it or receive money from it.

Putting them on just the Entry list of your structure will do to avoid having to pay the access fee. No need to put them all on admin. And the admin/entry/ban list can hold only 50 names.

However, if your mall is a guild hall that was placed by a guild member, it was automatically tied into the guild functionality of all your guild's PA halls and also default set to entry:guild anyway.

the min time to allow a person to your house for a fee is 15 minutes. So the 1 min bounce wont work =(

Thanks for the great info guys....this really shouldn't be this difficult, I mean if Sam Club can have members only sale why can't we .

Can anyone confirm the max entry fee is 50000 credits? That may not be enough to deter some people hehe.

Yep. 50k. When you click on Set Access fee on the structure management terminal, a box will pop up that tells you that. And the time limit too.

To the best of my knowledge, each person must be listed individually on the entry list. guild:xxx won't get 'em past the access fee.

Also, you might try putting some decoy bags (with items in them) on your custom orders vendor.

Price them just like everything else but only you will know which ones are completely bogus.

Maintain a strict 'no refunds' policy and don't accept "I accidentally bought it" as an excuse.

This tends to encourage honesty.

...at least until they give us the ability to see inside containers.

If the mall is a guild hall:

Politician Forum FAQ

Q: Are the structure permissions the same across all the guild halls?
A: No, you will have to re-add the people that need special rights/permissions to the hall. However, "guild:ABBREV" will automatically be added to the entry list of the new halls.

If the mall is not a guild hall:

Q: How do I give my guild mates permissions to enter my private house?
A: Add "guild:ABBREVIATION" (without the quotes) to the entry list. The abbreviation is the name that you have above your head between the "<>". It doesn't seem to be case sensitive.

Q: Can I use the above method, "guild:ABBREV", in order to give my guild mates ADMIN permissions/rights to my structures?
A: No, you can't. You have to manually enter their names one by one.

Q: Can I put an entry fee in my house and just add "guild:ABBREV" to my entry list so my guild mates can come into my house without having to pay the fee?
A: No, you can't. You have to manually enter their names one by one.
