Thread: Master Merchant
Is there a point to being a Master Merchant, except to put that title under your name? ![]()
Once I hit Advertising III, I'm quitting my climb up the Merchant profession, and surrending back all my vendors except one. All the other skills are either broken, or aren't worth the skill points to train in.
Well I will be working towads the Master Merchant box because it is a goal I want to reach not because it gives me anything when I get it, but I plan to keep pushing for them to flesh out the merchant class and give us some cool stuff at the top of that tree like some of the other professions. Now I still have a ways to go but I am making steady progress now and my businessis established and growing. Soon I'll start wasting Skill points on the Efficiency skill tree because it will be the only thing left :/
I may go all the way up to the get the nicest vendors placed, then drop Hiring altogether. ![]()
I was just looking at the points today... I didn't think there was enough to have two elite professions. Interesting.
Master may sometime in the future had some bonus I just want it...they nerfed the only way I as a non grind for days WS could ever make it to the WS master so this is my other shot for now...but I took a few boxs with reduced fees for vendors - here is what I got:
1. Merchant exp has slowed to 1000 a day or so
2. vendors are now free - they dont charge one cr
I /buged it and hope they fix it...other wise I will be 5 boxs from the top for the next 6 months or so ![]()
Congrats on your advancement
Can someone high up in Merchant explain to me what maintenance discounts you get in the higher skills trees?
How much discount for harvesters, factories, houses and the like...?
Thanks ![]()

Actually, there's plenty of points to master elite professions from different starting professions.
Novice Brawler +Polearms discipline= 29 points
Novice Marksman + Rifles discipline =29 points
MasterPikeman = 63 points
Master Rifleman = 63 points
Total cost = 184 points
This leaves 66 points remaining, allowing you to master yet a third elite profession, as long as it's a combat profession. Of course, most people would take the Marksman's Ranged Support discipline as well, leaving only 52 points for additional skills. Still, that's enough for two full disciplines and three boxes in another one from Scout, or Medic, or whatever.
Can i master this profession in a week or so? i tried to read that merchant guide, but it was so long i stopped, does anyone have any quick tips/exploits on how to get easy xp?
