Thread: In Test Merchant Changes!

These changes are part of the commodity server enhancements that we have pushed out.We apologize for any anxiety you may have experienced, but I’m glad to announce we’ve been able to make some good changes to the Vendor limits.While we can’t make the Vendor limits aggregate, we have doubled the number of Vendors merchants can acquire and also increased the amount of Artisan Vendors.



The revised Vendor limits are as follows:



Artisan Business IV: Get (2) Vendor, that will hold (100) items, for a total of (200) items for all vendors


Merchant Novice: Get (3) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (750) items for all vendors


Merchant Management I: Get (4) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (1000) items for all vendors


Merchant Efficiency I: Get (5) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (1250) items for all vendors


Merchant Management II: Get (6) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (1500) items for all vendors


Merchant Efficiency II: Get (7) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (1750) items for all vendors


Merchant Management III: Get (8) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (2000) items for all vendors


Merchant Efficiency III: Get (9) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (2250) items for all vendors


Merchant Management IV: Get (10) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (2500) items for all vendors


Merchant Efficiency IV: Get (11) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (2750) items for all vendors


Master Merchant: Get (12) Vendors, that will hold (250) items, for a total of (3000) items for all vendors

The 3000 item cap is what I was hoping for and I am shocked we got it.


However, having to have 12 vendors to get it is a little bit of a pain. Malls and merchant tents are now going to be crammed with merchants.


I can live with this change, and TH said it was necessary to go this way to get us the cap we wanted. I suppose it also will let me run multiple locations more easily if I so choose in the future.

I didn't think of that. The change definatly helps with that. Now if I had time to stock multiple locations I'd be dreaming.

I totally agree..and am also glad we got the 3000cap..(250 per vender) and also the fact that i can now set up more venders on more planets to more buisness (an xtra 2 planets!)....even though i only specialize in medical/combat medical goods andmedical resources250 items per vender is ample space for me..although im sure alot of you will disagree...!...oh and i dont mind going from planet to planet to stock up my venders as long as people keep buying..i gonna keep stocking!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad ... but I would rather of had less vendors with a higher cap. 250 per vendor is a bit lite and will cause *mess* in malls.

I think the high end limits are fine...though I would love to see higher limits on the lower end....100 wont go far for biz iii (I can't do much more given my point limitations).

6 or 12 vendors, 3000 or 6000 items ....


a Master DOC with 1 vendor have no skills free for a Master "fighter" (Rifleman / Fencer / aso.)

I can live with this.


What they need to add soon I think though is a secure system for a merchant to operate vendors on consignment for other players. How about an admin list for a vendor? Users on the admin list can offer things up on the vendor and can also retrieve items that they placed on the vendor. When items are purchased off the vendor, the player who placed the item there gets the majority of the money and the merchant gets some percentage of it (a percentage that he sets from the radial menu also). Or something like that.

Just got bumped up for Master Merchants:






Yes, they will.


Though, I was able to sweeten the pot for Master Merchants. At the Master Box level, all of the Master's vendor limits will be raised to 300 per each vendor.
