Thread: Ugly vendors

I'm a Bioengineer who has recently decided to switch gears and start a cantina. I'm about to hit novice merchant and I am concerned by the threads that I have read about how ugly the NPC vendors are. Is there a particular reason why their appearance is not as customizable as our characters are when we create them? I'm going for a nightclub atmosphere and I don't think it would be good for business if my waitresses looked like Hillary Clinton.

Yes, the vendors are quite ugly (the females are, in any case, I haven't used a male vendor, but I can only assume they are just as unattractive). For some reason, I recall the vendors being more attractive during beta, but then again, so were many other things, too.

Is there a way to create decent looking vendors? Im Master Merchant and still get the 80 year old or overweight vendors. If not, at least let an ID change them for us or something

Ok, I'm a master merchant now.


Why is it that I can't seem to create a vendor that doesn't have purple hair, green lipstick, 90 years old, or otherwise just a freak of nature?


There's gotta be something that I'm missing?

However, any time they try to charge me for my SWG account, they only get 1/4 of the money before the transaction fails.

Then I would post a message about all the great money that's there (and post a screenshot), but they have to wait for my next hotfix before they can get any more.

Yeah. Supposedly, you should be wearing hawtpants, hopping on one leg, and singing Celine Dion at the top of your lungs to get a decent vendor.

This does need looking at! At Master Merchant you really should be able to customise your vendors a bit more.


It was a wierd thought of mine once tomake all my vendors identical, so it would look kinda freaky when you walked into the mall!! (I was most disappointed when I got a selection ofuglymisfitsinstead)

I usually just give up after a while and either make it a C3PO looking merchant, or just make a human vendor and toss on a helmet and clothes.

It's even better when you can't chose your race (Novice Merchant) and you end up with a 3ft tall fat wookiee female...

Nope, not missing anything. I have been looking for the customize button myself aswell. It's sad we can't even hire an ID to do the job for us. At least this isn't as bad as items loosing their details in info.

This is already in our things to get in the stickies somewhere but be proud of your ugly vendors since like in real life, they come in all shapes. Unless, of course they make your eyes bleed so you have to delete them asap so no one can grief you for becoming sick.
