Thread: What Is Our #1 Critical Issue?

For me, the one thing that would completely improve gameplay beyond anything else is control of sales.

There needs to be a way for me to set a vendor or items on that vendor for sale only to one person or group. An example is a vendor that only sells to guild members. Or a vendor that I set up for special orders that can only be picked up by specific personage(s).

That simple change would put sales back into the hands of the merchants instead of the consumers.

Well, the wording of that request kinda sucks. As I sit here racking my brain, I must be experiencing a brain-fart, as I can not come up with anything that is "broken" that makes our game un-playable. THere are things that make it a royal PITA.....

Dang, nothing is popping in, so instead I am going to choose the thing I personally am most irritated with.

I want to be able to Re-Stock multiple itemsfrom the stockroom with a single button, and have it apply the last price I sold it for.

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

I agree that there are several things that definitely need improvement and enhancement, however the developers are doing serious work on things that should work but don't and that's what they've asked for input on so they can focus their efforts. They want to fix what doesn't work before they take what does work and make it better.

Ok girls and boys, it's time for round two of "Name That Critical Issue"

Last time around, I tossed the resource on vendor thing. Now it's fixed so it's time for a new submission.

Here's what the Devs want to know:

"A large part of my profession is broken because: ___________"

No feature requests, no design proposals, no minor annoying quirks, etc. This isn't a "top 5" list (or even a "top 1" list): Just looking for the issues that make your profession (or a good part of it) "broken".

So, what do you think it should be?

If a relist button and ID'able Vendor dont count..

I would say the bio-link issue, that you cant dress a Vendor with bio-linkable items closely followed by the Wookies Vendor who cant wear wookie armor...

It is tentavely scheduled for Publish 29, but it might be pushed back to "soon"©

My biggest problem and whatI see reported here repeatidly:

THE FACTS

We need to know when vendors say 'I quit',
what is the real inactive time, the empty time, the unlist time

We need to receive the proper emails and updates,
what is being sold by which vendor, when the vendor has gone empty when it goes empty

We need to have the correct information on how to care for our vendors
instead of just hope we can prevent it actions most of us do.

Right. Those would be feature requests.

However, I think the bio-link armor/weapons and wookiee wear could be crammed down the pipe as a single issue.

I've been trying to get a definitive look at "this is how vendors work" for some time to no avail.

with You and several other searching and asking , and still noone knows,

that is what has us broken, incorrect and unupdated information in my eyes.

not a day goes by do we see 'my mail said this' 'my vendor did this' 'why?'

my top complaints:

Emails are iffy... and often buggy. I relisted my vendor tonightwith it's 200 items and I know I didn't get 200 emails when I dropped my items to the stockroom. Also, I accidentally pulled too many items..and I could of swore we got messages or emails about that before.. I got squat.. just wondered where my items went and then saw the "restored items" on my vendor. I am often wondering if I am getting all my sale emails because of how buggy they are. Not only that, a lot of the time I have to log out and log back in just to find out what it is they bought. I don't sell weapons... and as a tailor 99% of my items are labeled with colors.. it does meno good to know joe schmoe bought a Decorated Vest. I label them for a reason so I know what I need to remake.

I left the gameinDecember dueto having to move across the world (yea across the world lol) and my vendors needless to say poofed while I was gone. When I got back I didn't have one e-mail warning.. the last mails I got from my vendors was when items dropped to the stock room, and again I guarantee you I did not get all of them. In fact the ONLY email warnings I have ever gotten from my vendors is when I first place them, and they are empty.

These are more additions I'd like to see instead of fixes.. hehdunno if this is working as intended..but getting e-mails when someone offers an item to your vendor would be highly useful. And in all honesty.. seeing as how vendors are basically in our employment, we pay for them, why do we get so little feedback from them? I know I'd love to see a daily email, perhaps upon first log in, or once a day, that would gives us a status update for each vendor. It doesn't need to be items sold, but just stuff you get from checking their status, like maintancence left, # of items on them etc. And also I don't know if this is a bug, just an oversight, or working as intended.. but I'd love to be able to use the " & " sign in my vendor names.. I know I'm not alone on that. Also on that subject.. you can not use the word "Wookiee "in a vendor name.

Wookie Vendors this is not a huge problem.. but wookie vendors will not wear anything not listed under "wookiee wear" in the clothing line. No bandoliers, no belts, not even their own armor. Items I have not tried, are the Wookiee Smock, or a backpack.

Vendor Creation - this may be working as intended, but I am still going to complain about it, and have a question. First off, why oh WHY do we get vendors in such atrocious combinations that not even starting players can create as a new char? A zabrak with bright pink eyebrows? lol or a bright pink twilek with green eyebrows, and yellow lips? Ok that one might be cool.. but I hope you get my point. The randomness of them is insane. In resetting up my shop I guarantee you I probably made 100 vendors in order to get 10 semi-decent non-neon face painted vendors. As a master merchant, we shouldn't HAVE to do this...and I am aware that we don't have to do it at all..but if we want good vendors, we do.

And sorry if I got a little um..carried away, but many of these things have been bugging me for a long time.. lol
