Thread: Banking
Bank money is available on any planet. Only items stored in the safety deposit box are limited to access on the planet on which the bank it was you joined.
Back when there where corpse runs having money on you was a different issue. Now that this no longer in the game it really does not matter. The only time having money in the bank matters is if you want to do a bank tip over long distance. The money must be in the bank and not on you as cash.

Is there anyway to find which is "your" bank? I've never used the safety deposit box, in fact I've never seen the option. I can't remember which bank I "joined", it was late night on the first day I had SWG and quite a few months ago.
Is the safety deposit box available over an entire planet or just in the terminal/city you joined up in?
You will just have to go to each planet and check the bank. Look on the radial menu and see if there is a choice for Safety Deposit Box. If there is thats the planet you have the bank registered. You can access the box from any terminal on the planet.

Can you change banks from planet to planet if you relocate?

Yes, you have to remove all the stuff from your safety box, stash it somewhere, close the account and then open a new one on the new planet. A real PITA....

usually not needed...
Hit CTRL-C... Click on the personal tab... and "Bank Location" /should/ be filled in and accurate.
Oh... and a bank transfer (bank tip or email send) charges a "fee". The fee isn't city based, it's just, I think, a money sink. For this reason alone, I perfer to buy via vendor as much as possible... regardless of city sales tax (which I don't mind paying, actually, if it is a reasonable amount, since city structures have maint costs, too, and those shouldn't come out of the mayor's pocket *grin*).
