Oh this would really stop alot of hassle. I own a shop and rent out 2 vendors to 2people...I spend alot of time forwarding the e-mails of sales and forwarding the cash at the same time. Please Devs...Give it some thought, serious thought. It costs that 5% to bank tip but as I don't see them often or we are always on different worlds..well it adds up and I'm loseing money. This system would certainly help.

Its good for new player run up more $ .
Pretty much the same reason we don't receive a paycheck for belonging to the imperial or Rebel factions. if we had that in place, along with banks that could issue loans, a Stock Market, etc - We could probably then get Interest on our bank accounts.
Don't hold your breath though.

There's a war on, we're lucky we're not REQUIRED to buy no-interest war bonds, which you can redeem ... if you're feeling so disloyal to the Empire as to deprive it of much-needed funds.

Probably because there's a game rule that credits have to come at some cost. Grinding a mission. Spending time killing NPCs. Crafting something/collecting loot to sell. Basically, no free money.

If you give the new people interest, you have to give the old interest too. The people will hundreds of millions of credits...

Incase you're thinking of tying the length of time a person plays as a restriction on who gets interest, all a person would need to do would be to have an extra character constantly repeat creation of itself to get the interest you get with a new character and constantly add some amount, say 100 million to the character who gains interest.

I am not sure where to ask/purpose this but is it possible for banks to actually act like banks? It would be nice if they paid intrest orcould give loans. just an idea. Any possibility of this?

I don't see it ever happening. The primary reason for a bankin a game is for extra storage. Holding money is just a side feature that really isn't neccessary

In the days of corpse runs, it was necessary to have your credits in a bank rather than on your person. The separation between bank and on-hand is pretty much irrelevant at this point, though.
