We have real life things to do and there are games out there that are more exciting to play...instead we will now have to come home from work...to what??? work some more?
We can do one of these things.
1-prevent it from going live
2-go on strike if it goes live -no new items=death of game
3-deal with it
Me? If it goes live I will simply make the foods/drinks for myself and not sell the rest. Why make massive amounts of something if you can't sell it at once. Maybe i will sell something to others from time to time? But i made my way to selll on diff planets with one vendor on each planet....you know....**edit** it. they do it **edit** them....go ahead ban me from forums. I'm done.

I have5 vendors total
One - has over 250 items with all my resources in it totaling 45 MILLION, that is only at 3 cpu max most is 2 cpu.
Two - has about 165 items with all droid items, batteries, heal packs, droids, paint kits so on.
Three - has about 110 items with droid and weapons on it on a different planet.
Four - has over 900 items ALL LOOT ITEMS that sells at least 100 items per day. All for cheap prices.
Five - only 40 back packs, all packs have 50 items in it, this is my storage vendor WITH EVERYTHING I OWN WORTH EASY -
20 MILLION - in armor weapons crystals furniture harvesters loot kits ( ie rugs gongs ya know) Loot galore
There is no way i have any room any where for all this stuff.
SOE what am I suppose to do? You told us this was an ok policy to use these vendors like this. Now some of us stand to lose Millions of credits worth of items. At the risk of sounding cliche - I have no idea what im going to do and there is a strong possiblity of leaving this game do to the nerfing and our personal loss of items.
Here is the ironic part. Where is all this stuff going to go. Im not talking about the loss now. Who is suppose to take it. Think about it if i sell it someone else has it. That means the totla number of items is still the same just not with me. when you lower the total number of items you bring the product to a lower level..
Supply and demand if supply is up cost is down. OMG simple economics. If supply is low price goes way up.
Please dear God tell me you DEVS covered stuff like this in college.
This is nothing more than an attempt at a COMMUNIST SOCIETY. A small group of rulers do what is best for the people.
WE live in democracy. WE THE PEOPLE pay your salary. DO NOT DO THIS NERF

Great idea, I say we all go on strike....just pick a week and have all the merchants take their stuff off the market. See how much the devs like it then. After all they seem to think crafters are not necessary if not why make merchant and crafting so horrible!

heh prolly gonna get bad looks for this but honestly i plan on just dealing with it...im a very laid back person...yeah it sucks...but oh well...ill just have to split my inventory into 3 vendors...probably will take me a while...but my vendors, being in a small town on lok, dont get much buisness anyways...and i enjoy getting on the game and talking to people and doing stuff more than i care about vendor changes...it is nothing to make me quit over, and it would be a pain in the ass to try and take my stuff off sale and try and store it all for a week...

I agree with Mattpost 100%.
Currently I have four vendors with a combined total of 1258 items. Houses, factories, vehicles, armor, clothes, food and so on. Where are we suppose to put all this stuff? It makes no sense at all and even if whats in the vendors now can stay there 'til the count drops it still stinks. It then means you have to constantly be restocking your vendors leaving little or no time for other things in here.
Many shops like mine sell a lot and with a small limit on each vendor it wouldn't be worth the time or effort to keep a shop going.
Many people will leave and those who don't will most likely drop their shops.
Too much time and effort has been put into this to see it all go up in smoke because of someones ridiculous idea up at soe.
There has to be a better way around this.

All my shops now say Closing due to merchant nerf. I have 11 accounts and have master artisan, entertainer, , medic, scout, architect, tailor, droid engineer, bioengineer, dancer, musician, and armorsmith. I WAS working on a 2nd master merchant. I have stopped all production and am pulling up my harvesrers. If the nerf goes live I'm gone. I'm not going to bother trying to find places for my resources and stock. If the nerf happens it won't matter because it will all poof when my characters are deleted. End of discussion.
Totally Disgusted,
Looking for a new game

No joke, I'm going to send that message tomorrowby ending all five of my accounts. These clowns that they have working for SWG must have been hired from Ultima Online; because all they have done is screwed up things more and more, while issues that really need fixing haven't been touched. Best thing to do is send a message by voting with your money, take it elsewhere; they will get the picture when they get fired. We are their boses here, the SWG Staff has forgotten that.
The way their thinking is: Delete all posts that constest their lunacy and encourage others to rebel against them; because if there is nothing there to contest them, then there is no problem going on.

Ya...i think a strike is in order...even if some plan to deal with it...strike anyway...think about it...how it could impact the whole game...crafters strike and have docs refuse to buff others. No foods/buffs/stuff...what will a player do. Not just one week, but two weeks of this and you will have an outcry from the non crafters to bring back the vendors. It can work, we just need to work together to stick it to the man...so here me all...don't think of this as doing the right thing...think off it as pissing someone off and getting away with it. Bring about chaos and carnage with just turning our backs to SOE...who's with me?
