Thread: So, how's the price war meta game going on your server?

In my case, ships, the price for tier 4 ships is now down to 50k for a ship that takes 80k of materials to make. That's 0.625 CPU. I sell ships at 2 cpu.

At this level, it will put resource suppliers out of business and those of us who pull our own resources will take a big hit as well.

I know it's early in the new "vendor meta game" but, any artisan class is going to be hard pressed to stand under this pricing war. I guess time will tell.

I only did a quick scan on my server last nite to determine that the resource prices ran from 0.5cpu to 10cpu depending on what and who and to some extent the quality. Since it was easy for me to search by price first (they said that would not be there. ) then by name of resource it was easy to find the cheapest selling price for any given EXACT resource. So all I had to do was scan down the list and find the best quality then check the range of prices for that exact one. (EG search for PolySteel Copper (quadifurs)) First find the Polysteel then check each sub name then check the prices.

For resources that pretty much makes it a price/quality only game. So if the prices all drop way down
it won't be worth my trouble to mine any and with import/export a thing of the past I can drop most of my
merchant skills and go build up crafting and or combat.

Oh, don't worry, they'll go way up shortly as soon as most people quit crafting altogether.

My opinion.

Bah, my ship sales sucked before the patch and mine were the lowest on the server. I know this because I hunted down every other vendor and wrote down the prices.

Ive not noticed any difference in sales tbh, and ive no intention on lowing the prices i have, im not desperate for more money even if sales were dropping. Id rather have less sales than equal sales and less money

I did the same thing in order to be competitive and make a profit at the same time. Seems pointless now. Ship sales were very slow before this patch and they have tanked now. The only thing I've sold since the patch are looted items and that market will hit rock bottom before too long.

I sold a crafting apron today, first one in weeks. Otherwise, it's the same old, same old.

Buff prices have fallen substantially, but thats because of the resource crates, not the search option. As soon as those crates get used up, or the herb meat dries up I expect prices to stabalize again which I'm starting to see already

Buff prices have gone down becouse Doc after CU is no longer a crafting proffesion and all docs who have spent millions for resources are trying to at least get something back before the shaft..

And as someone previously said..when most crafters quit..prices will go up again.

The 20k bazaar pricing has allowed me to break into real profits after switching servers. My old galaxy is one of the dying ones. I transferred my Master SW/Arch/Artisan and have been struggling to keep my harvesters going until now.

Still selling some random crap, same stuff, just slower since the publish. I haven't been able to find anything worth my interest on the GWVS(though I did see there are over 1150 krayt pearls and crystals selling on various vendors on my server) I hope they patch it soon. Annoying to look at the same items over and over and over when you're browsing
