LOL Alcen! Me too!

Iuse a tailor calculator that factors in my costs. If my costs go down, I can re-calculate then.

Going to try and stay out of the Merchant PvP. *Finds Merchant trainer and goes "On Leave."*

I haven't changed my prices since I mastered, and that was a month or two after launch I think there are less tailors out there though, nowadays less people threaten to go to another tailor, some are even scared when I tell them to go to another tailor if they don't like my terms no one complains about my prices now, which is nice

I'm not sure if this will happen to shipwrights, but I'm guessing folks who sell really low will get tired of constant restock, and prices will level out eventually. in the mean time, hang in there

Its hard for me to judge the difference in sales as I closed up shop about a month to 2 months ago, have since opened a small shop in my pc and just today opened a brand new mall with 2 othere extremely dedicated crafters. We had a huge influx of people on our first day compared to what I was expecting, all of our vendors are listed but i saw very few people that i didn't recognize which makes me think most of our customers are repeat customers and not from the new search option.

That being said, I also bought about 600k of resources today. Resources I wouldn't have otherwise known about if it wasn't for the vendor search. I didn't look at price, I looked at availability as the stuff i was looking for was high quality doc berries and fiberplast. I paid between 4-15 cpu for various resources and as I said, if it wasn't for the search option... they'd still be on the vendors, not in my inventory

Buff prices have fallen substantially, but thats because of the resource crates, not the search option. As soon as those crates get used up, or the herb meat dries up I expect prices to stabalize again which I'm starting to see already

That doesn't change the fact that I still want the vendor search to be a 0400 merchant skill and the 20k bazzar thing makes me none too happy, but as a customer I can see how itsa very good thing

Merchant PvP.

That's not a bad tactic... I used the same thing on a lowballing architect. He had small houses for something like 3k, I bought them all, dropped a shop by his and sold them for 9k until he went away.

If you have the cash flow, that is a very valid tactic. If someone is selling for 1 CPU, and you think you can get 3 CPU, save yourself the crafting time.

I set up my shop at the Agro Outpost on Dantooine
I never considered my sales to be competing with other Tailors because, well my location is quite secluded.
I have not changed my prices since this went live, nor will I

I do not compete,I offer my services as I can, period.
Not in comparision to what they have, what they can sell cheaper,
But by what I can offer in my own way.

My resource sales have definitely gone up. They've never been overly strong, selling in batches here and there, but I've been sellinga good bit more recently.

Mined stuff, I tend to price average to high for quality, low for midline stuff (I treat it like grind unless there's one really good worthwhile stat), and average to slightly high for grind (2 cpu, less if it's abysmal, like two-digit OQ's).

Creature resources start at 10 cpu (smaller if it's really sucktacular or in batches under 1k), going up for the good stuff.

I've been selling 1-cred furniture just to clear out some inherited stocks, and those have been going well.

Once that's gone, sigh, time to sell off the 500 ship parts, 500 rancor biles, 50 assorted rancor segments, and other various Dathogear I have lying around.

I haven't listed my vendors on that bazaar thing. I've still got global ad up, and that's it.

I'm going to wait a week and see how my sales are.

I feel like it was not well-thought-out to not only implement a system that the majority of merchants thought would be detrimental to the profession, but also to grant such a powerful skill without any skill point expenditure for its use.

The annoying thing about the Global vendor listing is that I'm a Master Merchant/AS/Artisan and yet none of my armour is listed til the 5th page back and that's only 2 items, the majority is way past where any sane person would stop looking. A "top of the list" bonus system for master merchants would be nice, then maybe use Advertising 1-4 for who gets listed next.
Kinda annoying that I invested a load of SP and specifically so that my products would get a higher profile and in actual fact on the hugest database of stock I'm nowhere

Buff prices have gone down becouse Doc after CU is no longer a crafting proffesion and all docs who have spent millions for resources are trying to at least get something back before the shaft..

And as someone previously said..when most crafters quit..prices will go up again.

no ... they fell because of the resource crates

They started falling way before we knew anything about the curb and since the curb post tbh prices have leveled out .... I suppose this is becuase the resource crates are getting used up Either way, my prices haven't changed and I'm still selling things so doesn't really effect me

I havent seen much evidence of this to be honest. I still see docs on my server charging the same 7k -12k they were charging at the end of last summer. Maybe it hasnt had time to trickle down yet to my level yet?

Not talking about coro-buff rates, talking about the prices of buff pack sellers .....

I'm not sure there is a price slide for architect products on Kettemoor yet. But I haven't sold anything other than to regulars since the patch. I'm considering joining the price war by dropping prices. I know a lot of the architects and one of the other significant architects I know will sell at a certain lower rate regardless. I understand on Naritus average prices have hit 50k for a heavy. Can anyone confirm that? My contact on Naritus said it had already caused some architects to stop selling heavies.

I have done quite well selling resources however. I try to stock old, high stat resources. Most of the recent resource sales are via the galaxy vendor search.
