Yes!
And all the items in it, as well as the building it's sitting in will disappear into nothingness.

No. It will continue to remain in the game enviroment and work just as well as it always has. Only difference is that you cannot place any others, or make any changes to the ones you have set up. You can still sell things on it, add new items, add maintenance, and in general, business will continue as usual. The only difference is that you will have freed up a lot of skill points.
Now.. a caution. Supposedly this is going to be fixed in the future. The DEVs aren't really saying much about it, but it is on their to-do-list. It is not an exploit, but it is not something they intended, and they are supposedly going to fix it. So if you use it, pay attention to the boards for any sign of change.

Yeps. your vendors will stay registered as well. Also, if you have efficiency 4, before you drop merchant, if you put a lot of maintenance in every structure you own, while those credits last you will continue to save 20% in maintenance fees.
Again, I am not encouraging this, and there is supposedly a fix coming some time in the future.

this is how me and a lot of others used to do it. but what i realized is that not being able to move the vendors, or change their clothes, or change their vocals got old... 5 months of the vendor saying the same thing gets old, really fast. but it is a great way of freeing up temporary skill points. the best thing to do is to just get another account, so you can keep master merchant... thats what everyone i know did.

Relax. It's a "bug" everyone likes except for a handful of zealous players on the merchant boards.

It won't disappear. Your vendors will still bark (if they are already) and your vendors will remain registered.
Ignore the people the say it's an exploit, they (the players) are the only ones calling it that. The only official statement on the issue (from Thunderheard) was that it was "not intended" for people to keep vendors when the dropped skills. Well, that just means they have very poor vision.
Will it get fixed eventually? Supposedly. But then again reduced housing storage limits were temporary until they fixed the database problem.
For me, I'll eventually update my signature to include Master Vendor Poacher just to appease those that insist on calling it such.

Its a bit more than a handful actually and a larger number of people when told about it usually reply "Man..that sucks.."
