Since the devs seem intent on ner.., um, changing the vendor limits. Some have speculated, cause the devs just won't say, that there is a database problem. I think it is encumbent upon us players to helpreduce the database problems.
Therefore, I suggest that all of the people that read this thread, go in game and buy junk off of the bazaar and delete it. Junk like +5 pistol barrels, +25 Geo sword cores, decorative shisas, bone armor, any and all CDEF weapons, and any resource containers with less than 500 units.
Give a hoot, don't pollute. Don't be a dirty bird.

Also, please feel free to link this to your home galaxies and get people to stop selling this junk on the bazaars.
Thanks.

Haha funny post, but I seriously doubt buying all the noob items on the bazaar would change the dev dilegence to nerf, er um *fix*, the vendors.

Yeah, buying all the junk items off the bazaar would only encourage people to list more junk items. If the stuff sits on there without selling, eventually they'll get the idea that it's worthless and just destroy it instead.

On planets such as dantooine, where lag is all the time, I think it could be more than a database problem.

The proposed vendor limits, as they stand, are hogwash. Why should anyone be a Master Merchant for a measly 10% vendor space increase? If Master Merchant gave you +100% vendor space, on the other hand, I think you'd see a furious addition of new accounts as "serious" crafters added a second account to hold all their lots...
Oh, I'm not an artisan, but I know several, and they also say that the "empty vendor" sydrome will get WORSE, not better, because the busy, worthwhile vendors will get sold out 2-3 times per day, and the artisan's can't be bothered to restock that often.
Oh, just had an idea........What about if vendors can only "DISPLAY" (the proposed limits of) items, but can "backload" items like a coke machine....when something gets sold, the vendor storage automatically pushes the next item in to the "display" so artisans don't have to log in every hour....THAT would probably solve both SOE's database problem (bc only real merchants will have excesses of items loaded) and the artisan's problem (not enough sales volume)....If you (the artisan community) like this idea, pass it along...

I did suggest something like that a while ago. Why not use the stock room for... well stocking.. If an item sells and you have one in the stockroom it should replace it.

Heh, too true. Don't encourage the newbs to sell that junk. (The suggestion and "ad slogan" still made me laugh though)
And the junk used to be much worse - much more of it - and very little of real value, quality or need. At least nowadays you CAN find something other than 5 versions of gray shorts, 412 CDEF pistols, twenty-eleven-dozen "live samples of X" and a scrapyard-full of broken meson electron microscopes, datapads and recording devices. You can find it, you just have to sort through the bazillion listings of trash.
