Well the title says it all : do items in storeroom count towards your max number ? I guess they will, but I don't think I've seen anything about that, have I ?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that they won't count against the limit.

I don't think it would really matter since you can only keep it there for 7 days and then gets deleted. Most would probably have it back on the vendor within a couple days or pull it out of the storeroom so they don't lose it.

So a viable strategy for non-master-merchant to store would be :
- Get artisan 0030 and place a vendor
-Put a fully filled backpack for sale
- Withdraw backpack, leave it in storeroom
- Repeat with a ZILLION other backpacks
- Put one singleitem for sale at 9999999999 credits
-Put the backpack back on sale once a week andimmediatle take it back
Surely this isn't supposed to be possible...

I would hope this wouldn't be possible also. Maybe they can implement a delay before restocking is possible when sales are withdrawn if something other than what was withdrawn is put up again.

If I remember correctly ... they were going to allow you to "view" what was in a pack back ... to deal with the rip off artists.
Once they can do that, I bet they will be able to count the number of items in the pack ... and will probably make the items count towards the limits.
Now directly to your point ... there is a risk to your scenario ... and that is not getting to the store room fast enough and losing your stuff ... 7 days might seem a long time ... but can actually go by pretty fast.
But yes, back packs in vendors are currently unlimited storage basically ... but I bet that gets fixed pretty darned fast I would think :-)

You'll need a very good system to keep track ofeach thing that has been listed/relisted, etc. I wouldn't try it with anything of importance, there is a pretty good chance you'll miss a pack one day and then poof, its gone.
And when you file a CSR report explaining about how you lost an item you were storing in the storeroom... even though that sounds logical, don't expect much sympathy ![]()

I think this is another one of those things that allows you to "beat" the system but is ultimately more trouble than its worth so people won't do it for very long.

I think an item you put up for sale then cancel immediately will last 5 weeks in your stockroom not 1 week. The timer will count down from 30 days till 0 days while it sits in the stockroom, then you'll have 7 more days till its deleted. Please don't go throw away billions of credits worth of stuff without testing this, but I believe it does work this way.
If this is true, it's a mayor exploit. It means that this whole limited items on vendors is worhless. I guess they will fix that VERY FAST...

Don't try this. It used to do this but I think they fixed that a while back. The limit in the stock room is 7 days. If you luck up and something lasts longer fine but planning your business around that will cause you pain and lead to you coming into this forum in a while and complaining that you have lost everything.

Yeah, I agree. Ihope that they can close all backdoors for the storage limit before they go life.
Because if there are backdoors (factories, anyone ?), then people will find them. And use them. And then complain when the items poof.
Sigh.

Well I believe this method still works but you are right that itis a doomed method of storage.Someday, somewhere, somehow they will make it so the stockroom only lasts 7 days and when they do all your stuff willlikely end up deleted and they wont reimburse it because they will tell you that they had stated all along that items should remain in the stockroom for 7 days, not 37.
