Ok, nice list, but here is my pet peeve....

loosing things out of the stock room. *pout* I lost probably a million credits worth of stuff in one day. I admit, I am a total noob at having and maintaining a vendor, and no where in gamehave I found information that says"how to".What about an e-mail that says something like,,,, "hey, you have 5 (or 7) days to do something with items in your stock room, or you loose them forever."

I've only just recently started to troll the forums for information or to complain (and I've played over 2 years). Can this be addressed as a viable option to things going "POOF" and gone forever?

Our city recently had our "mall" disappear with at least 8 vendors, 6 of which had loads of items on them. Up to a week later, I was getting e-mails about "auction unsuccessful". Again, millions of credits on my vendor and at least 2 other vendors, not to mention the items, functional and decorative,in the building itself, like +43 crafting stations, loot kit items, rare loots, etc. I myself, sent in at least 3 customer service tickets, and started posting in the forums. Still noanswers,*sigh*

/rant off.

I have been a Master Merchant 2 times now and this is the 2nd time I have viewed the forums for it.

I can now see that my frustrations are shared and common. Thanks for submitting those, I hope they get fixed sooner than later.

My 2 biggest merchant pet peeves are the Vendors rotating on their own when they bark, and the biggest one for me is the auto-storing of the droids when I use my ship to travel planet to planet.

Vendors on Rori in Rohal Cross, 1226 -5579, and on Lok in CION's Mall.

I'm currently in the process of updating the Top Issues List.

Something else I'm doing is detaching "bugs" from "issues" for future lists.

I'd like to list bugs separately so they can be tracked and updated more dynamically.

For the purposes of what we're doing here, I consider a bug to be something that is supposed to work one way but doesn't.

The Issues List will be used for gameplay enhancements and feature requests.

Basically "it works this way but we'd rather have it work another way" and "it isn't in the game but should be."

hmmm, Elyssa, what is the trick to removing head wear with out putting another on?

You use a hooded cloak

super thank you!!! i've been afraid to try hats that i'm not sure of on vendors for fear of being locked into SOME type of hat afterwards.

How about

1) give master merchant ability to do advance search/filter/sort through items attributes, like max/min damage, speed, dps, crafter name for weapons or Overal quality for resources

and since number of master merchant are limited, this is not going to increase the servers load alot.

2)current resouces search is really inefficent, resource should be separated to more category, like inorganic mineral include manythings, simple text search cannot cover them all,

As a Weapon smith I spent hours in vendor search to find a single type of steel.

3) give master merchant ability to buy stuff annonimously because I have been banned many time for buying too many things from single vendor.

4) give master merchant abitliy to rename item name & remove crafter name from items. ( I don't want to sell items with other player addvertisement on their names)

5) please don't remove slice weapon from bazzar/vendor in your new smuggler changes, that is going to have very bad effect on merchant business

1+2) I think if they implement this it shouldnt be just for Master Merchants - but for everybody, it would be an extreme help.

3) I think its kind of silly that people ban you for shopping at their store too much . People tend to despise 'resellers' -- I think that its a communication issue and it can be worked out. If they really wanna fully stocked vendor they need to produce more or rise their prices. To be fair Resellers should contact the seller to order the goods, instead of selling them out. I think its a social issue, though - and anonymous shopping would hurt a lot of merchants more than it would help the little merchants

4) I Disagree with this - Item naming is a great way to create a 'brand' and would hurt crafters. If you want to sell other players stuff, ask them to make you items without advertising on it. If you dont want to have to make arraignments with them, then you'll have to deal with their 'brand'

5) I dont really have an opinion on this as I dont deal with sliced products at the moment.

my current top issue is this

no more merchant in the NGE.

please let the devs know that i want this fixed as soon as possible.

So much for a Smuggler revamp, maybe they should just rename us, it would take less time and be easy to do.
"Useless" would be my first choice as a name suggestion.

of course at this point there is no reason to revamp anything. SOE should just shut the game off.

It was a fun ride while it lasted. Too bad they never fully realized the potential of the game they were trying to create.

They're probably still promising a smuggler revamp. So stick in there...

Yeah - I had fun times with this game. If you ever see Dimear in a game you play in the future, it's probably me. Feel free to say hello.

Too bad they got rid of the people who were interested in creating that game.

The truth is that the complexity of the game got away from them and they never had the chance to try to make it work. Publish 9-10 was really the start of the end for the game we came out of Beta with. The Jedi-BH system has been a plague on the game since the day the game went live. Its sucked up 1000s of hours of resources and kept the systems from being balanced and kept them from really developing the game.

The turning point for me was the global vendor search fiasco.
It's a shame that the community at large isn't aware of the wonderful system that we were working towards.
It would have been a system that would have rewarded you for being a merchant and it would have greatly enhanced our ability to sell merchandise.

Tyrant had even broken the whole development mess down into "easy to do" "harder to do" and "long-term but possible" as far as what they'd like to do for us.

Did you know that directed sales was part of that design? So was IDing vendors. Consignment sales wasn't out of the question. There was actually "communication" happening between us and them.

There were SO many things from our top issues list that the developers were willing to move forward and implement.

Then Tyrant is no longer an SoE employee.
Then the vendor search feature was pushed back to TC as-is and we were promptly forgotten.
