I reported it and stressed the urgency of it.
They acknowledged receiving it and passing it along (which I then reported to y'all).
Unless they have something specific to say about it, you probably won't hear anything else about it until you see it in the patch notes.

Patch Notes? I have not seen $OE post a patch note since Pub 17. They post bug reports for the so called patches - but no patch notes.
Any idea or communication why no patch notes have been published since Pub 17?
Uhm... because there haven't been any patches since pub 17.

Some would say that this is because they're working so hard on fixing the bugs that screw over the merchants every server reset that they haven't had time to publish the bug fixes...
Do not forget, there is a popup window on the listing page that carries all the info the examine window would.
Until it is fixed, do not relist but instead get word out -
You can just hover your mouse over the line to see the information the item/resource has without haveing to open the second examine/details window.
Unfortunately, that pop-up box takes almost as long to open as the examine window.
With the examine window, you can use the left/right buttons to quickly step through each item.
If you do it down the whole list very quickly and then circle back, you will cache the data and it will come up immediately when you circle back to the top of the list.

The point of vendor searches was to make searchign for what we needed easier. They're taking a step back, but it affects ONLY the resource merchants.
Oh, and the weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, bio-engineers, tailors, architects and chefs that depend on them.
And the scores of combateers that rely on them.
The point has been made this is something that needs fixed,
but it is the communities option to sit around and whine about relisting or to get info out on examine still working.
Trust me I am not saying this was a good thing, but I am saying it is not as bad as having to restock daily.
Yes search was suppossed to help make thing oh so much easier, it was implemented poorly and flawed,
so we either finds way to work with and around it , and notify the public to do the same, so items can still be found
or we take what is our own time and constantly restock daily because the public doesn't know you can still examine
Have some PRIDE, for cryin' out loud, SOE! No dev organization in the world can survive with such poor attention to quality.
