Merchant Archive

This is really pretty funny. They used to have to actually work to nerf merchants - writing code each patch. Now they're at least getting efficient. They've found a way to nerf merchants every day, without having to take the time to sit and code new nerfs. That's progress.

It's been 1 day since the last merchant nerf - we're due for another. And we'll get one tomorrow (and the next day, and the next day, ... )

I ticketed this and a genius CSR replied it was working as designed, no option to add a comment to this ticket. I am really grateful for this awthum work once more SOE.

I have saber resources on my vendor, and a small survey showed that almost all my customers find me through the bazaar search. Dont think anyone can be arsed to click through 23456 entries of steel to finally find the one lot that's best for sabers. As long as I relist everything daily (or at least after every serverdown) everything's selling really well, but it's just damn annoying to be forced to do it.

I'm an AS, and I need stuff. Stuff I can no longer find on the Vendor Search--it's back to the dark ages of two months ago!

At this point, I'm assuming that anything on my vendors is my personal stock until further notice, and if someone happens to find it and buy it, hey, look, cash!

They've acknowledged receiving the information I have submitted. That's all I know.

Thanks for trying Elyssa, it can't be easy to get anything through to the devs that is not directly related to Jedi and/or Combat.

shame rorac...i blame BH not jedi lol

So frustrated. Besides the problems with my OWN vendors, I can't find what I need on vendors for smithing, can't find it via the boards, and I'm likely going to miss out on a really nice business opportunity as a result, unless I can somehow manage to afford ten or twenty free resource crate kits.

Any ETA?

Some types of merchant have been mostly unplayable for a week now, and the only communication we've had (not even public communication - just to Elyssa) is that they know about the issue (followed my muffled laughter). Making merchants playable again is on the list of things to do - right after fixing the battlefields...

Don't forget that one of my functions is to serve as a branch of public communication for them.
I reported it and stressed the urgency of it.
They acknowledged receiving it and passing it along (which I then reported to y'all).

Unless they have something specific to say about it, you probably won't hear anything else about it until you see it in the patch notes.

ETA is something you learn not to ask the devs after a while... it's something that they can't and won't give. every time they gave out ETAs they got in trouble for it

are we still having to re list every server reset as of Monday? i havent been online with merchant in a few days.
