Thread: CSR reports merchants tent must be destroyed to transfer

same thing happened to us in our city. One of our mates has left SWG and so we needed to transfer the Guildhall which was also our Shopping Mall over to another player. Kept on getting an error message and the CSR said can't help you in transferring, you have to delete all vendors then transfer, we were like yeah ok we are gonna get 10 people to remove all their vendors and store over 15k items where ? up our ass maybe ?


Something needs to be done to make this type of transfer more user firendly

Why? If they are going to allow this, then why did they ever code it in? Maybe it was a mistake but makes no sense to allow what we had already been doingourselves if that was their intention.

I would guess that its an attempt to keep merchant tents on the lots of merchants. I imagine that quite a few people have planted a merchant tent, then /transferedstructure to a non merchant to hold it for them.

Probably code was for tents only and bugged to all structures...

As I reported a couple of weeks ago...its a bug! It isn't supposed to be preventing you from transfering the structure because of vendors at all.

It doesn't just effect tents. Any structure with vendors in it can't be transferred now. This is going to be a game ender for alot of people. I'm in a serious situation because of it. My shop was transferred to someone else in an emergency, and now I can't get it back. There are too many items in vendors to transfer out of the shop to redeed it. I've heard of a great many people in the same situation. The CSR that was contacted about the issue said it was a "feature" of the publish and got rather testy when reminded that we were given no advanced notice and this "feature" is not in the patch notes.


We need to let them know of our displeasure regarding this situation, and we need to make our voices heard in a big way, before people start having their careers in game ended by it.
