Thread: Vendor Items MUST be Removed and Relisted to View Detailed Information

so basically, merchant gets screwed in the CU also, Least everyone is getting screwed together. Is there one profession post-CU that actually came out better than pre-CU?

I just had a chain of thought going...
1000's of vendor owners relist 1000's of items eachin a single day. 30 days from now there is an email for each of those items unsold going into the stockroom once again. Is it possible that at the beginning of June we may see some server problems due to so much data flying around the in game email system?
I for one will relist from stockroom to my INV and back on when the stuff falls into the stockroom.

I'm not relisting my items until they fall out naturally, but I ain't whining about it either. all my items have the original item name in the description, and all clothing items include color in the name. my customers have actually been thanking me for it.
you might just want to reconsider your generalization

Not really Pappi and that is because Tailor are a 'special' breed when it comes to what we sell,
my generaliztion is for the community as a whole.
And do not forget you are one of the rare few who would label their colors,
I wont, but I do label any BE clothing, which I know others sometimes don't.
Crafters, Loot sellers, Resource folks all of them, there are people who want to go on and cannot without their help.
all in all the post was directed specifically to those who are 'waiting' on a hotfix.
because even though they say they have read and know what's going on, they insist that the DEVs will hotfix it in..
and if they dont in such and such time then they quit..in which case do it now ![]()
I guess I am just tired of keeping tongue in cheek against so many naysayers, downtrodden,I got screwed people
that I have become a tough for you leave the game type person towards them
there is zero reason when you are miserable to inflict it upon a commuity of people attemping to carry on.
zero reason to attack anyone who enjoys something you now find fault with
and honestly..I wish folks would stop blameing Cors, Mods, and Devs for when they do their jobs.
*sigh*
the only thing I didn't agree with was your generalization on all merchants that didn't relist their items. I know not everyone label their clothing, and that's their problem post-CU, but I think I've earned my right not to be included in that generalization, even when I am one of the "refuse to relist" folks
A Red Name post about the vendor item conversion:
Clicky!
The commodities system data is separate from the rest of the game data, and thestats foreach item aregenerated when the item is put up for sale. We were not able to update this information as we converted items. We decided that it was better to show no information rather than incorrect information, so we removed it all. It will get regenerated when new items are placed for sale.

So explain this, they say that the The commodities system data is separate from the rest of the game data
I, for one, will not be relisting my items until they fall off, if I even bother to relist at all. I am seriously considering leaving the game, but I've decided to take a month or so off until I can make up my mind for sure. I've been playing since Aug. 03 and I really hate to give up something I've put so much work into, but overall, this is not the same game I started playing. I love being a tailor. I love the reputation I've built for myself, and I honestly enjoy helping other people look good. I do list the colors in the name of my items and I even have a color chart on my wall, so if someone wants to purchase an item without being able to see it, and they trust me, then I will make some sales. If I lose customers because of this, I don't blame myself one bit. What makes me laugh is the fact that this was a Combat Upgrade. Therefore,my character, being completely a crafter, should go unaffected in my opinion. I don't care what database changes they made, what items were converted, I should have been able to pick up this game the day after the CU and see only the changes that should effect me whichare BE tissues. That's it.
I also sell resources and you know what? Those will not be relisted at all, ever. I really hope that others don't relist as well and that this goes on to effect more people. That's the only way that I forsee anyone caring. No, I don't expect the Devs to put out a hotfix for this, but I atleast want them or other players to see how badly they screwed over so many people. Some people may have 8 hours to sit down and unlist, inventory, and relist all their items. I have about two hours a night every other night to play. That means, it would take me over a week to convert all of my items. I just think this is an absolute ridiculous thing to ask of players, especially like some one else said "because this turns the game into work". Work that the Devs didn't want to do. Why should I work 9 hours a day, and then come home to work some more. And PAY to work, not get paid.
So Ani' I'd love to know why people can't speak out when they're displeased. I'm sorry that you don't like to hear it and that you take it for whining. Money isn't always easy to come by, so when I do invest mine, I like to feel that I'm getting full worth out of every single penny. When I don't, I voice my opinion and complaints. Sure, no one who can change thingsmay hear me in this case, but atleast I feel better speaking out about what I consider a slap in the face with fellow merchants who see things the same way I do.
