It is so hard to convey these things via the boards. Basically initialze the vendor then immediately bring up the Administer Vendor menu again. Note that it still says Initialize Vendor at the top..without choosing anything move the mouse off the menu and let it go away then bring up the menu again. Initialze should be gone and your vendor should be working now. Remember do this immeciately after initializing the vendor..I mean as soon as you click the initialzie menu option the first time and get the message that it is initialized.
I have tried it about 20 times and still cannot get it to work!!!

Hey DocSavag,
Thanks for your patience and help. I still can't get it to work, but will keep trying.
I was wondering if the Devs know about this issue, and if there is any ETA on getting this fixed?
Thanks.
They do know. I don't have any word on it yet, but honestly I want them to worry about the item bug first. Then we can deal with this and the xp bug.
If you are having trouble remember you want to get to that Admin menu the second time VERY quickly so the Initialize command is still there. If you wait until after it has updated and gone away it won't work. That has been my experience.
Got my vendor work with this workaroud (this is all what i did before successfull initializing):
0. 329 placement test *g* .... etc..
1. house private mode on
2. created vendor (type: terminal)
3. placed it, didnt work![]()
4.changed house name from "myshop (open soon)" to "my house"
5. another try to place vendor (house private mode still on
)
6. house to public mode
7. placed vendor, rotated it 2 times to right
8. paid 600 cr to maintennance pool.
9. Initialized vendor from vendor menu AND 0.1 sec after that I rotated vendor to right. After that it was fully functional ![]()
Fix the freakin bug already
The method described here did not ever work for me. This did:
Drop Vendor
Rotate Vendor to desired position
Initialize Vendor
Radial - initialize is still there - pay maintainence
Use Vendor
This method for me works every time. Nothing else I tried did work.
Has anyone remembered to plug the thing in????
Jeez you guys worry me sometimes.
Sorry I resort to attempts at humor when I am angry.... my vendors wont work either.
The method that has worked for me every time is when I am about to place a vendor, I will:
- Logout
- Reboot
- Sign back in
- Place and initialize vendor
Sucky but it is faster then trying again and again and again and again and well you get the picture.
