Although I make my own batteries and fireworks, my main income comes from reselling Ledao's (meds) and Ece's (bio-food) warez! I usually clear a Mil-a-week.

When I gave up my Master Dancer/Doctor on Kauri, I already had a new character concept in mind. I wanted to be a Master Merchant. The character's history, personality and look was already firmly placed in my mind before she was even created on Bria. In the beginning days, she was an Artisan/Marksman/Scout in order to make ends meet and earn enough cred to work her way up the skill trees. In time, my husband and our neighbor came up with a bright idea, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if your Merchant character had two body guard slaves to protect her?" I thought, hell yeah, it would be. It fit right in with my spoiled rich brat, daughter of a wealthy merchant type. So they came from Kauri and created a pair of Bothans.

That was last November or so. While I still occasionally make my own products (retaining Master Artisan and Master Architect, but having given up Master Tailor for Politician), our Estate is a thriving business. I consider myself a 100% merchant because I fully run our business. Making sure we have resources, components, room for storage, stocking and re-stocking my half of the vendors (my husband's alt character also has Master Merchant, so we run 12 vendors, but he's a crafter who helps me stock vendors).

From such bare bottom roots, we now clear 5 mil a week or so (minus our overhead of 1mil a week give or take on maintenance costs, and other business expenses like buffs, travel fees, etc). At one point I did do some cross server lot trading, but it was from people who owed me favors from Kauri, and all but two of them actually played on Bria too. Now we only use our in house employees for lots, of which I have 19 employees. It's a lot of hard mental work to keep on top of it all, but I enjoy the challenge of it, and I love knowing that my 'employees' are enjoying themselves because they can simply log in when they want, do what they want, occasionally they get a request from me for delivery, pick-up or custom orders. I manage the harvesters, we share resource and component warehouses with everyone on admin, and almost everyone has access to the guild treasury (depends on what trust level they are on).

I don't actively go out and seek out crafters from outside our guild/estate/business, but occasionally I'll find a damn good deal that I can't pass up. Of course, in keeping with the spoiled rich brat snotting Mistress of her own little Empire persona, a lot of the money disappears for new paintings, wookie life day orbs, etc.

Err, yeah, longwinded as usual.
