Thread: Current Merchant (Vendor) Issues
Thanks for the Merchant XP fix. It seems to be working now.
I'm up to Management 1.
Vendor Issues
1. Can not move vendors after Initializing even though radial menu gives you the option. Working as inteded perhaps but remove the options on the menu after initilization.
2. Vendor showing up as targetable mob (Yellow Name). I have 3 vendors up 2 have normal NPC names like in town (white name, no HAM bars), 1 has a mob type name (Yellow name, HAM bars, attackable but doesn't fight) Which are they supposed to be?
3. Destroyed vendor stockrooms are still listed on regional filter and we are not able to retrieve the items, either remove the items associtated with the destroyed vendor or let us retrieve them through another.
4. Players shopping my vendors are unable to see the location filter portion of the window, only theobject type filterand listing portions show up for them. They have to visit each vendor to see all the items rather than just selecting regional like the bazaar or the merchants themselves.
Has anyone noticed if the premium Bazaar item actually show anything different. As far as I can tell i'm just waisting 80cr on the posting of these...
I screwed up and made the house, rather than let our crafter, just because I had the deed and it was faster. I wish I had given it to her and let her, but no one thought it would matter. Boy were we wrong. Now she can't drop ANYTHING in the house, including vendors. So I have to be there everytime she wants to decorate. GAH please just shoot me. What the heck good is the vendor and admin list for then? It's a public house, I never imagined it wouldn't let me allow others to drop things in there.
I wish I could transfer ownership of the house ![]()
There is an option in the bazaar for buildings and installations, and a seperate one for deeds... perhaps the intent was (or is) to allow transfer of existing building ownership, but it isn't working right now obviously.. it would be really nice, though.
Having admin access mean something other than the ability to modify the other lists would be nice too... it's SUCH a pain that only the owner can drop or pick up items... even though admins CAN at least move movable items.
To put a vendor in someone elses house, you need to be on the vendor list. Create the vendor at THAT HOUSE (you have to be on the admin list to do this.. but you can be removed from it after you create the vendor you want), and hand it to the owner.. they have to drop it for you... then you can initialize it and go.
This works well for droids (at least, it worked well for the bulky terminal)... however, this is really bugged for NPC merchants.. once you hand someone else your NPC merchant, they suddenly cannot drop it, move it, or destroy it. It still counts against your total, too.. we tried everything to fix this, and it was just stuck at her root directory (she couldn't trade it back, either.. when she tried, I never saw it in the trade window, and couldn't get it). We did find a fix that worked consistently, though... she could put it up for sale at her own vendor, and I bought it. I then handed it to her and she was able to place it... very odd.
I made and destroyed several NPC vendors tonight (was hoping to find one I liked the looks of
) and with each successive one, I seemed to lose inventory space. The vendor would be destroyed but then I didn't have room for a new vendor without dropping things, and my inventory numbers show plenty of space. I kept losing more space each time I created and destroyed a vendor.
Seems that somehow all these destroyed vendors are using my inventory up. Logging out and back in didn't fix it.

yeah, both myself and my roommate have that problem with vendors... logging out doesn't fix it, but having your character leave the world does... so logging out and waiting long enough that you are actually not in the world (sometimes this takes up to 10 minutes) works, as does zoning via the shuttle.
Also, I'm now getting a message saying Unable to sell invalid item from one vendor... I can sell the items to the vendor next to it no problems. I removed some items thinking maybe it was full, or had too much value in it, that didn't help (also withdrew them). Logging also didn't help.
Actually, assuming you have nothing in your stockroom... the maintenance cost is, roughly:
1 + (Total_value_of_goods_on_vendor / 1000 )
So if you have about 369,000 worth of items on your vendor, yes, your maintenance cost would be 370 per hour. For Droids and terminals, at least. NPC costs are bugged. Or, maybe terminal costs are bugged... I dunno.
