The answer for me is no. I'll still be here. I have 4 accounts that I play personally including 3 crafters. I'll figure out a way to adapt my business to whatever it ends up being.
That being said I am dedicated to pushing the limits as high as I can get them.
Well of course you will be, you're part of the evil empire who thought up this crap!

STOP BITCHING AND JUST QUIT THEN
Everytime there is a change there is a post like this.
No point in quitting yet, when there is still hope that this may not happen.

As a Master BE I only sell 3 types of chef tissues and 3 types of tailor tissues plus pets and I need a vendor that currently has 15 sepearate packs on it for storage of DNA.
If this change goes through like the change to house storage limits did ages ago. BE will go and I'll become combat only if I can't get mind healing cause macro's are gone then I am at a loss as to what I'll do before World of warcraft comes out. I will not be renewing my SWG account.
I enjoy the game but I play to relax not have an alternate cyber job.

Already cancelled one account due to the combat revamp delay. I guarantee that this one will take my other account out of thier pocket-book.

I have master merchants on two servers and I have two accounts. I have a master tailor with over 400 items on each vendor on three different planets. With all the different items a master tailor makes, belts, hats, shirts, pants, coats, shoes, jewelrly, etc... there is no way this will work for me not even if I used all the alotted vendors. I won't be able to restock what I run out of until I sell what is on them now. I cant' remove the stuff because ofa lack of space to put the stuff in. I might as well remove the cash and let it all be destroyed with the vendor.
I am not ready to quit, I love the game. I am ready to give up crafting and merchant and cancel one account that I just won't need or want to pay for anymore. I will cancel the other account when EQ2 goes live.
Then again, with all the up coming "features" I might just reinstate my EQ1 accounts and say the hell with everything else. I know that game works and I like the vendor set up there.

I think SOE thinks we're gonna start new accounts for extra vendors. I'm not paying $15 a month to take up a profession a second time that isnt even fun.
Don't nerf our friggin vendors. You make enough money to maintain your little database, SOE.

As a master merchant with vendor cap, I have usuall about 1000-3500 items on my vendors at all times.... Even if the devs gave me enoughlots and bought me houses, I'd still quit... I /spit at SOE for doing this. I've been hanging in on a STRING with the whole "I've mastered 27 professions, been playing since day 1 thing, but yet I know a jedi who first joined in march and got jedi on 8th master." Even that didn't make me quit....But I have been leaning over the edge and SOE just pushed me over. Come out with this merchant nerf and I'll cancel my 2 accounts and play WoW. Why don't you devs work on other things like the whole teleporting while sitting bug instead of swinging the nerf bat at merchants. We've been teleporting while sitting since beta. Yet I still remember in 1 update around launch or something that said "Changed the color of fish on different planets so they're now a different color depending on which planet you're on." Or something of that nature. Yet you can't fix stuff that we really need? Devs you need to start working on things that are bad and stop concentrating on things that RUIN the game for people. This will KILL the economies, even more then they already are. I used to play on Corbantis, it was my starting server, now I'm on radiant, but when I left corbantis, composite suits of armor from the best armorsmith on the server were 1.4 million credits per suit. Let's make that 2mil + each after this cap goes in, maybe more. Thanks for ruining the gae, Devs. /spit

I am not an employee of SOE/LA and I get no pay for letting you people accuse me of coming up with this "crap." The only thing that I MIGHT have had anything to do with in this proposal was getting the lower limit raised to 50 from some ungodly number lower than that when it was first presented to me. My efforst to raise the top end have, as of yet, not been answered.
Didn't say/accuse you were the one who thought up this crap, I said you are part of it, and I do appreciate your efforts to to raise the limits, but obviously you have some influence over these things, and if they suspected you of "joining us" in this quitting debate, then you will lose your edge of influence.
I'm sure those who say they;re not going to quit, will do, after change, once realiation hits that there really isn't enough people playing anmore to make the game work.
As for me quitting I don't want to, don't intend to, but everybody else quitting will force me to, beacuse without the other people in the game, the game will be useless. With my 7 accounts (just decided to get another one), I'll be able to play with myself, quite easily, but without everyone else playing it will get rather boring.
Just don't for one minute think that people don't mean this, and just saying it to force the people higher up to ignore this revamp, because this is a game, its only a game, a game is meant to be played and enjoyed and for fun, people who have stuck to this game have stayed as they have found it fun, these new merchant plans will now not make the game fun, it will make the game a chore. Nobody has anything to lose by quitting, in fact thay'll get their $15 per account back, and be better off.The government can stay hard to not allowing pay rises to strikers, as in the end the strikers will end up getting no money and could possibly lose their jobs, and be a whole lot worse off, so the governement can stick to not giving in to threats, as they know its only threats because these strikers will not be able to survive in life otherwise.

/sign me gone
If Publish 10 makes it to Live from Test Center without a meaningful compromise from SOE on the item limit issue, then I'm cancelling 4 accounts in which I pay $60 a month to play this game.
On Bria, my supposed "uber rich" merchant actually distributes my "ill-gotten" gains from being a Master Merchant to the 3 other characters I have to enjoy the PvE and PvP parts of the game. When I can no longer afford to get a new suit of armor when the suit I'm using become worthless, or I have to spend hours of game time hopping shuttles to findan item that cannot be found on the public bazaar because I'm tired of sifting through the junk/used items people are trying to weasel 6k for., that's when Sony can kiss my further contribution of $60 per month to their coffers for my further enjoyment of this game.
It's not a threat, simply a fact, PEOPLE WILL NOT PAY TO PLAY A GAME THEY WANT TO ENJOY TO GET AWAY FROM THE USUAL DOLDRUMS OF A WORK DAY OR DAY AT SCHOOL. WE WILL FIND OTHER GAMES AND SOE WILL BE LEFT TO EXPLAIN TO LUCAS ARTS WHY THEY SHOULD EVEN GET A CRACK AT DOING ANOTHER GAME IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE IF THEY CANNOT THINK ABOUT THE CUSTOMER BEFORE THEIR POCKETBOOK.
SIMPLY PUT, USE MY $60 A MONTH TO HIRE A NEW DATABASE PROGRAMMER THAT WILL WRITE A BETTER CODE OR AT LEAST SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME AS THEIR JOB AND GIVE YOU FEEDBACK IN THE FUTURE SO THAT YOU WILL NOT INADVERTENTLY KILL THE GAME BY PROPOSING SUCH DRIVEL AND JUSTIFYING IT AS A COST CUTTING MEASURE WHEN WE'RE PAYING $14.99 PER MONTH PER ACCOUNT TO PLAY.

Enough to me to look serioursly at quitting. Crafting as a profession is dead once this goes live with no one but the most dedicated wanting to spend all their time nursing vendors.
The flow-on effects from this one change will be massive, and I for one cannot see how the game will be able to survive.
The future will be mainly combat folks, using looted weapons because no WS are available anymore. No resource sellers will be working so those remaining crafters will not have anything to use to make items, everything will suddenly be in short supply and inflation will skyrocket.
I just suddenly lost my will to continue playing but have paid up till Patch 10.
If this change is implemented I won't be staying around, JTL or no JTL.
