I'm definitely losing XP. 4 vendors running (i.e 600 / hr). Been gone 20 hours. When I come back I have received like 2-3k xp total. I just went to my vendors - they were already loaded by a customer but I received 600 more xp (perhaps a bit more since the customer checked the vendor). I've lost tens of thousands on xp due to this I'm sure. I mean, just the last day I've lost 10k. No wonder it's taking a lot longer to get management 3.

I'm 0002 at the moment and I'm not a holocron hunter. Still doesn't mean I want to wait 10 days to get management 3, not to mention 4 and all other skills. I want to be able to register my stores on the map, and to lower my maintenence costs, get a merchant tent etc. Now that I know, my character will be macroing in my house as much as I possibly can.

[sarcasm]Ah, but the good thing is that there's now a macro to get merchant xp!!![/sarcasm]

Apocalance, you also get xp hourly. This doesn't work correct. For me, as a 0002 merchant, I have a hard time getting enough customers to keep the shop loaded (despite good products and well stocked merchants. Advertising takes time and before I get map registration, I simply won't get a whole lot. If you are advertised and get a lot of sales, then yes of course you get xp as you should...

How do you get Merchant XP? Do you need to make a vendor? Do you get xp from sales on Bazaar's? Any suggenstions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Am I out of the loop, or have the Devs stated whether this merchant xp problem is a bug or a stealth nerf? Vendors have to be loaded to get the xp btw (ie sit in your house all day on an alt or your main char). Everyone please submit /bug reports in-game also, in case this hasn't been done.

There has been no word on it yet. I sincerely doubt it was intentional but we'll have to wait and see what they say about it. Submitting /bug reports on it doesn't hurt either.

LMAO, I've been doing exactly that. So! I'm picking up another version of SWG and for the free month placing all of my vendors in one room, and sitting my alt there opening the vendors for the 50XP bonus every so often

The only possible rationalization would be that this way you have to get customers into your store to get xp. Of course, not having at least a guaranteed minimum means that its harder to get to the point where you can advertise in-game. Putting a store waypoint in bazaar sales descriptions only goes so far (does anyone actually read those?).

Now after railing against AFK macroing entertainers, I find myself setting my toon to stand and sit all day in my shop. I rationalize it by calling it a workaround to get what I should receive if there wasn't a bug.

I am noticing the same problem. My XP this morning was 42400. I just logged back on (5 hours later) and now my xp is 44800 (2400 xp). I was wondering why it was taking so long to get that last few boxes of Hiring.

Is this going to be addressed anytime soon?

Instead of standing and sitting, why not /shout out ads every so often? Might get som sales from it, what do I know (or are shouts not heard outside the house?).

Alright, welp it looks like Sony finally reacted to this one. Last night I went offline and collected a good 10k of experience. I tested it again for a couple hours this morning, and the same thing occurred. Is everyone else having the same results?
