1.How many boxes of "merchant" do you currently have?4/4/0/1 at one point was a master merchant
2. How many advanced crafting classes (thiscan include anynon-novice class where you craft goods and sell them)do you and/or your "alts" play in addition to merchant? Master Artisan/Architect/Droid / no alt players
3. As a merchant, roughly what percentage of your sales come from you selling things that others (besides yourself and your "alts") have crafted? 25%
4. Assuming that you (at whatever level of merchant you are) had a vendor cap limit of 300 items per vendor, and the "tools" for running a vendor were beefed up significantly, how likely would you be to actively pursue the selling of other crafter's goods? (unlikely / neutral / very likely)? unlikely

1.How many boxes of "merchant" do you currently have?
-Was a PvE template, now 0/0/4/4
2. How many advanced crafting classes (thiscan include anynon-novice class where you craft goods and sell them)do you and/or your "alts" play in addition to merchant?
- Could CM be counted as one? Though I had to give it up.
3. As a merchant, roughly what percentage of your sales come from you selling things that others (besides yourself and your "alts") have crafted?
- 1%, if even, since in the 3 months my shops been open I've sold one item for one person.
4. Assuming that you (at whatever level of merchant you are) had a vendor cap limit of 300 items per vendor, and the "tools" for running a vendor were beefed up significantly, how likely would you be to actively pursue the selling of other crafter's goods? (unlikely / neutral / very likely)?
- Wouldn't. I've had to get merchant for myself again to keep my PvE end of my shop open. So my template is Rilfes/Merchant atm. Reason I would not sell things is not because of vender space issues, it's because I wouldn't want to be at risk of having something bug and it poof or to put myself in a position to be the center of a "Barris Scammed Me!!!11!" thread.

2. How many advanced crafting classes (thiscan include anynon-novice class where you craft goods and sell them)do you and/or your "alts" play in addition to merchant? 3
3. As a merchant, roughly what percentage of your sales come from you selling things that others (besides yourself and your "alts") have crafted? 1%, that being any leftover goods/itmes I have that I did not make that I want to get rid of.

To be honest, I picked up merchant for the benifits it offers me to sell my own (alt's)crafted goods. It is simpler to do it myself than to set up a partnership at this point in the game for me.

I keep reading all this garbage about the "merchant" class and how they will be affected by this and that, and this is my attempt to see if such people really exist, and if so, in what numbers. So very simple poll. Please, no discussion (or else your vote won't count... I mean it) just simply answer "yes" or "no" or whatever the questions asks for, and if you can't answer it or it doesn't apply to you, please just use n/a.
And yes, I realize that I'm not accounting for looters and miners in this poll. This is really meant to determine the relationship between "elite" crafters and merchants.
Thank you for your participation.
1.How many boxes of "merchant" do you currently have?
*** Master
2. How many advanced crafting classes (thiscan include anynon-novice class where you craft goods and sell them)do you and/or your "alts" play in addition to merchant?
My main is master arch / master art / master merch. Have alt that is a master med / master doc / master CM, and another character that is 4444 on chef and weaponsmith.
3. As a merchant, roughly what percentage of your sales come from you selling things that others (besides yourself and your "alts") have crafted?
less then 10%, if I see a 'good buy' I may grab SOME and sell them, I dont 'buy out' others vendors.

Dont think I would actively pursue running vendors for others if that's what you meant. UNLESS the tools were made like another post I made as far as basically 'renting' a vendor where I didnt have to do anything but place it and the rental / sales fees were somehow automatically deducted from the renters account and placed in mine.

1. Master Merchant
2. 2 (Doctor and Combat Medic)
3. 10% of current sales come from product that I didn't produce
4.Very likely. This is very dependant on the ease of use of the tools as my least favorite merchant activity is stocking.

1) 2 Novice merchants
2) 3 (Doc/CM/Armorsmith)
3) 0%
4) 300/vendor would never be enough but if consignment tools were in place it would be possible to be a true merchant. It's evident from this poll that Merchants are 95-98% alts for alt crafters. The profession is a pure money sink for SOE with the rediculous 1 char/server limit.

1. Merchant4/4/0/3
2.Master Droid Engineer, Master Weaponsmith, Master Artisan
3. 2%,
4. Unlikely.
Dissussion for clarification
3. Other sales are mainly extremely high demand foods. It isn't that profitable (realitive to my own goods)and I doit mainly as a convience to my guild.
4. How much depends greatly on how profitable it would be compared to my own sales. Even if I could find consistant suppliers, I have the additional problem that it dilutes my brand (Darkwater Robotics and Food?)Not so hot.

3) 0%
4) I agree with MormiHalba. I will not sell other people's goods until there is a good consignment system.
