Thats a really good question and you're the only one that can answer that. If you are being a packrat with all the loot you've accumulated then you need to seriously evaluate what it is you consider to be valuable. The rest needs to just be sold off or dumped. Thats the problem I have with so much of these loot drops. Most of it is just pure junk. It was never meant to be hung on to from the start of someone's playing experience to the end. If you make a habit of this then you are going to ALWAYS have house inventory limits.

A large house and 2 small generic houses + bank safety deposit box= 700 items total. If you don't craft and all this is just loot, then, IMO, you have too much loot. You need to sell some and, I would dare say, you need to destroy some.

Or even better... a medium house (for display) and 4 smalls + bank = 850 items.

Then again, a medium house + 8 factories + bank = 1050 items (but much higher maintenance).

It might be time to let go of the newbie melons, tho.

SOE SUCKS!!!!!

This basically makes it impossible for me to continue my doctor business because I am not dropping swords or doctor to become a merchant. It seems like they are trying to force people into a second account, this blows hardcore.I CANT AFFORD 30 dollars a month for a game!!!!I will end up giving up my doctor business because of this. Whats the fun in being a merchant doctor.....I can heal you and sell you **edit** but I can beat up a durni.

GAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so using your logic, I should be able to master TKA and keep all the benifits after i drop it.

What you are forgetting here is that you were never supposed to be able to have this business in the first place.
It was a bug in the game that allowed it.
That bug is being fixed.

If I drop doctor skills I lose my quality on my products.

If I drop swords I cant hunt the 95% of the time Im not crafting. Well I can but I wont be able to fight anything to good, or anything that drops good loot.

If I become a full time vendor I can sit there make buff packs all day and nothing else. Or I can drop doctor and keep swrods to get a vendor and I can look at my pretty vendor all day and wonder why nothing is on it...../shrugs

Here's my4-step solution for you:

1. Quit crying.

2. Use the bazaar

3. Run a delivery service for higher ticket items

4. Unlock a second character slot.

Doing the math you can Master Doctor, get 2 vendors with 250 items and have 3 boxes of Swords with your 250 skill points. NO you won't be the best swordsman on the server but you will be a master doctor with the ability to sell meds and your loot items (on separate vendors even)

I currently am a TKM, a Master Tailor and a Musician on Bria. I like having all three proffs, but, I also need a vendor for my tailoring business. So I made a choice, dropped novice musician, and one more music skill, to get the skill points to move to Bus. 3.

My point is that, you can still craft, still combat and still have a vendor. It might be hard, and you might have to make some character changes, but, it all really depends on how much you need that vendor....

Yeah, the changes suck, but...Look at all the other proffs that have to sacrifice something in order to pick up another skill...

Hmm.

Here we go.

I'm a master merchant on Bria looking to loan out my extra vendors.

Currently, I'm running three vendors, with one of them being close to shut down because I was helping a friend getting rid of his tailoring and chef components.

I guess this is all up to reputation, since there are scammers all around.

just throwing this out

I'm a fair person.

Or -- you can work out a deal with a merchant to run a vendor for you.

This is a viable solution. Sell wholesale to a Merchant that has a thriving business then you can keep your other skills and still make money!

It is full of loot items i have collected in 9 months of play. Why do i do this?. Because the housing storage limit is a joke. I have a large mansion but can only store 250 items, with decorations and furniture this limit has nearly been reached, without the use of a vendor, im basically screwed.

So on Tuesday, im gonna have to find an alternate means to store my hard earned items, I could pay a merchant to store for me but thats gonna be prohivitably expensive not too mention finding a merchant willing to give up a paying slot for a storage vendor.

I could strip out all the furniture and decorations from my house but then where do i store them?, I payed an architect a fair amount of money to make the furniture for me.

So i ask you, what can i do?

my only hope is that the Dev's increase the house limit before Tuesday.

Yeah right..... Im not holding my breath.

And therein lies the main problem, and can we thump this problem into the devs collective heads? Nope.

Now theynerfed the piss out of the one thing you could use to store any of your stuff, it's gonna become a real pain in the tail to sell things when people fill up in a heartbeat. This is a good idea for merchants. But saturation of the market is gonna hit in only a couple of months. Unless you get an onslaught of noobs coming into play, im at master merchant , juuuust in case this came to pass, so im still good with my storage. but alot of people are really gonna get hurt by this.

That housing limit has got to be bumped up now. Since they just opened up a sizable chunk of space on the server this shouldnt be a problem to do now.

150 small

250 med

450 large

650 pa hall.

How can that^ "as an example" destroy the servers now that the vendors lost their unlimited abilites? Hmm? Can't wait for TH to BSme on this one.

My turn to rant.

imagine this...

I trained in merchant, invested skills, then hired and managed 5 vendors.

Once i had a working a business in place i invested my skillpoints in crafting and combat.

I continued to pay my employees their salary and keep them stocked with things to sell.

How can this be considered an exploit? In real life I can get a business degree, start a small business. Then focus on something else and maintain my business as long i didn't try to hire/fire re-engineer the current business.

I never took master merchant so i was limited on marketing and hiring.

WHY the HECK are my vendors just quitting on me?

Getting merchant for vendors than dropping and keeping vendors is not an unrealistic exploit.
