Heh, I have started up a second account/character.

My guy is currently going Chef/Merchant.

Now, Korreck... I want to MASTER merchant, AS QUICKLY, as I CAN. So that I will be able to offer players all the benefits (cough) of master.

I believe that its only smart to take advantage of a macro like this. Whether or not its a bug? I don't know. All I know is I found this out myself, last night and am using it with my other account and guild mates.

Btw, on an aside, Holo's rule. Before the holo grind, I dare you to find a full cantina anywhere, a lot of people weren't trying professions, no reason..

When we lose the holo grind, i forsee a stagnation, at least for the main part. Probably wont kill the game, but you will get a lot less people out there doing new professions.

We would instead half of the people being one of a few select profs. Because of hologrinding, I've found out how to play the game better, and cool tricks in profs. I've found out about mixing and matching some professions.

I've also found full cantinas, a lot more vendors out there with the addition of numerous other positives.

Hologrinding only helps the community. For those who want the Jedi, and currently don't want to hologrind, I say too bad.. keeps the jedi numbers down.

Well, nobody seems to understand anything I said. Anyone who has responded to me in this thread gets all defensive that I am bashing hologrinders, so they immediately jump into how not to blame the players and that there's nothing wrong with grinding fast. If people would stop being so defensive, altho I can understand why some would be defensive, then maybe that can understand what I am talking about.

I have two toons, one is a Master Musician/Master Entertainer/Master Image Designer, the other isa Master Artisan/Master Droid Engineer/Merchant. The Musician/ID toon did Musician in about 2 weeks and ID in about 2 days. I macroed the ID, altho I had to click 50 billion times on accept to get the xp. The Musician part was done in the cantinas in Coronet and Theed. The Droid Engineer toonwas ground via a crafting macro in about4 days. I had to click all the thousands ofresources and run around buying resources for the grind.

Now that you see what I am, lets understand what I said. I said leave it to hologrinders to find faster ways to grind professions. There is nothing inflammatory with this statement. I never said grinding fast was bad. And, it is true that almost all of the grind macros created in this game were made by hologrinders so they could quickly grind through professions they mostly didn't want to do. Blame the game. Yes I do. I never blamed the players in my post.

My other major statement that is defended against is that I can't wait till all the hologrinding is done so people doing professions will be people who want to do the professions. There is nothing inflammatory in this statement and it is a very true statement. It will be nice to have people doing what they want to do in this game. Most hologrinders don't want to be dancers or musicians or crafters. So, won't it be nice when the hologrind is over for them? It will also be nice for the people who want to do said profession and are frankly tired of seeing "t311 m3 h0w 2 gr1nd mus1c so i r f4st thru dis sh*t prfeshun". Yes, that is an exageration, and it's mostly seen without the 1337 speak, but it is seen daily in almost every profession forum here. So wouldn't it be nioce for all involved that people can do the professions they want to? instead of being forced to grind 32 professions for Jedi?

Immediately becoming defensive, people have jumped all over and instead of discussing their view of what I wrote, they immediately jumped into the name calling and trying to do an "oh yeah well this profession sucks so I'll do it in 5 minutes" type talk. Nobody wants to hear that, from both sides of the fence. So why bother?

I admit I hate the hologrinding process, but I don't hate all the hologrinders, I just hate the rude ones who come into a forum and talk about how much my profession sucks. I hate the ones who refuse to look for help in the plethora of FAQs and Guides that are stickied on almost every profession forum. There would have been no further discussion in this thread beyond what I wrote if the the person arguing with me had not gone off about how much my profession sucks and how wrong I am. I tried to explain rationally and to no avail. So don't listen to what I said, fine. If I insulted you, report me. If you inadvertantly took what I said in the wrong way, I apologize, sincerely. Just don't blame me or the profession because you chose to try to become a Jedi and you come in here and tell me and others who wanted to do this profession how much we suck.

Again, for those I offended inadvertantly, I'm sorry, text is the worst commincations method going. It shows no feeling or intent and can be misread by half the people who are having a different day than the next person. To those that want to trash my profession, I'm glad when you won't need to come to this forum anymore because you can complain in the Game Guides section that the Jedi quests suck.

That is all I will say about this further. Flame away if you feel you must, but all you will succeed in doing is make what I wrote true.

Unless there's been a very recent change, one of the early replies IS correct. You get 50 XP every 10 mins per PLAYER character that refreshes your vendor. They can refresh 6 vendors, you're still going to only get 50 XP every 10 mins.

Anyone that's done merchant can tell you this.

i watch the xp meter, it's 300xp every 15 minutes, (shrug) just like it was for my former guild mate (shrug) try it a see maybe it is a gith that i'm getting so much but all i know is that my former PA member was also getting 50xp every 15 minutes when someone opened his vendors (per vendor). So i honestly don't know and yes with him we did it the old manual way because we weren't smart as my friend jarik to come up with the spiffy macro ><. So, if you want to try it, there's the macro, if not >shrug< have fun maybe i can give you some of my left over BE stuff to help you get more people to your vendors .

Cause that's what it's all about, isn't it? having fun

I too "cap" at 50xp per 10 minutes, no matter the number of vendors opened. So far the only guy who's said different is the dude who started this thread.

Are you guys doing it manually or using the script that was posted? It is possible that if you do it fast enough it might be granting you xp on all of them. In that case its a bug and I'll report it as such.

No, I am the one that said different jarik just wanted to post the script here to help anyone who wanted to get though merchant fast, and so you guys don't get plagued with ANYONE got a script for this posts. Like i said i dunno >shurg< i can have someone open all the vendors manually, and i get xp for each hit (50 per vendor) or with this script >shrug< i didn't know they'd changed it. Worked the same way for a fromer PA memeber of mine (he quit due to lack of conent) every time we'd open his vendors 50xp for him. and i know it for fact cause i got him this last 150xp several times when he didn't want to wait for his hour update to train. (shrug) i honestly don't know guys. No idea why it's working different for me and the merchantis i know then for everyone here on the boards... we're doing nothing wrong that i know of (shrug) like i said does it manual or wit hthe script.

FYI the script that is psoted here is the core of the script there's a bunch of atling and other movement stuff in the macro (my one BE buyer that i'm actually using a merchant for keeps talknig how they creep him out lol) that he didn't put in here, i guess for cleanliness sake (shrug) it's msotly standing and sitting >shrug< dunno, maybe that's teh secret you gotta watch teh vendors like entertaienrs dunno anyways off to have fun bubye

I don't know what any of you are doing differently, but i put in this macro using six vendors instead of 2, and i'm still getting 50 xp every 10 mins.

Yah this a load of crap. Either he is doing something different or just making this up. Nice try though.
