I seriously can't wait until the Jedi revamp. Then the only people doing professions will be those who chose to.

Xp is tracked by Player not by vendor
having 1 char look at all 6 vendors in a row does not net anymore than 50xp per 10 minutes. You'll recieve 50 xp for the first one they look at and 0 for the next 5 (assuming it is before the 10 minute timer). I wish it worked the way you descirbed it. you do get more get faster xp for having differnt people look at it but each will have the same 10m timer on them.
My advice is if you have 5 char running just have 1 on each vendor easier to macro that way and less cycling to mess up
you're a cracker
i'm making 1.5k merchant xp every 15 minutes, so stuff it until you really know what you're talking about
i'm the one wathing the xp rack up and making 100k a day (yawn) thanks to friends that are so much smater the me
yay! master merchant in 4 days (from when i started 2 days ago
).
Have FUN i'll be done with this prof in record time woot, and i can get on to my last 4 badges.
yay 97 badges in jsut 2 more days, don't you wish you were me neeneer neeneer. ![]()
(edited to put a comma where a period snuck in)

Hi all Merchants out there, I've got a method that will allow you to grind out merchant in approximately 4 days..
It uses the standard macro for using a vendor however it allows you to target multiple vendors in sequence and basically multiply merchant xp of a character by the amount of vendors you have..
One character is worth 200xp per hour. *
That is 3.6K per day for looking at one vendor. (18hr day)
So once you get 6 vendors this adds up to 21.6K per 18hr day.
At the moment I've got 5 chars doing this for a friend. So add that xp (108K) per 18hr day plus whatever she gets for her vendors per day she will master merchant rather fast
Even if you dont have 5 chars it is still a quick method..
I'm not sure if your allowed to post macros on the boards but if people are interested I can give to them directly or I'll post it on the boards if it is ok..
If you know this method then please disregard all I've said

obviously your ego says you do >shrug< doesn't matter to me blah blah blah all you want, 100% truth, this class and anything in the entertainer line is for people that honestly don't want to play the game, or for people that that don't know how to. The only excpetion i can see to that are the miners that use it for the matanace reduction.
guys, seriously, this class isn't that hot and shouldn't be considered that hot no matter what, you're not some special class, you put up vendors... um yay.... seriously yay...
The class isn't worth having, it's kinda like the BH of the non-combat classes, looks cool, but there's nothing to it and never will be.

Here is the macro to select and view multiple vendors with one character thereby multiplying your xp by amount of vendors you look at..
To start with you need to click each of the vendors you are going to use in sequence.
Then add the following macro, 1 for each vendor you areusing.
The following is for two vendors..
/ui action cycleTargetPrev;
/pause 2;
/ui action vendorUse;
/pause 5;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 5;
/ui action cycleTargetPrev;
/pause 2;
/ui action vendorUse;
/pause 5;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 5;
There it is, good luck levelling merchant.

How did you get most of your equipment? I assume you purchased a majority of it from a crafter of some sort. And most crafters no longer sell their wares by hand on the street cornet. Hence the player based economy in SWG is heavily dependent on the use of merchant vendors. And I would strongly disagree with you. Many merchants are played by many people who do want to, and enjoy playing the game.
I do not consider my merchant character "HOT". However,I do feel he plays an important role in getting player crafter items into the hands of non-crafting players.
