Thread: Merchant Top Issues List (as of May 2005)
Ok, I have one. I'm not sure exactly the mechanics of how it would work, but i know that I have a ot of people requesting that I notify them when my vendors are restocked. Maybe make a list per vendor that when items are offered for sale on a vendor the customers listed would receive an e-mail that says something like: "The vendor Super Cheap Good Stuff has items listed for sale as of (date time)" and attach a way point? to eliminate spam, it would only send out an e-mail each time the merchant accesses the interface or say once every 24 hours? (i.e. I list goods at 2 am, the mail goes out, I list more goods at noon the next day, no mail).
This would be great for Merchants with high traffic vendors that sell out over night.Consider allowing players to add them selves to the notification list? This could increase sales, and decrease tedium for merchants. This could potentially be something that say, only a master merchant would have access to?
Oh, another one!
Allow merchants with Ad 4 (as an example) the ability to have 2 droids out at the same time. A crafting droid, and an ad barker droid! Use merchant skill boxes to gain the ability to pull more droids, like a CH with pets.
Maybe there's some possible abuse issues there? But I can't really think of any. It would allow crafters protection, to a point, if they pulled multiple combat droids. And from what I have seen, with the CU and the DE snafus (no comp segments = no droid armour) a droid should not be tough enough to take out super hard lairs, but might be tough enough to pull MOBs long enough for us to get those resources out of the harvister!
I know that for me, as much as I want to use a Spam Droid, I can not because I can't have it out while I am crafting with my other droid. And since I'm a spaztic crafter (run to house, run to factory, run to mall, run back to house) crafting stations make me nuts. I considered CH just for the ability to call multiple pets, but i'm not sure if droids would count.

#7 Bugfix Wookiee Wear
After the JTL patch that created a separate Wookiee Wear clothing category, Wookiee clothing, armor, and weapons that are not listed in this category can no longer be worn by Wookiee vendors.
We request that they be re-enabled for Wookiee vendors.

I'd like to propose granting Admin rights on certain vendors to certain people. This would allow Merchants to host vendors for other people and hopefully give a boost to the malls..
I would like to add 2 Merchant related issues that I feel need to be addressed.
1. Email notification for offers placed on vendors
2.Email notification of entry fees paid to you and to client entering (I had someone try to tell me they paid me 50k to enter a house when indeed they did not)
The only way to allow someone to bypass the entry fee on a house is to name them specifically. guild:guildname and PA halls (for which this function should be automatic) still attempt to charge the guildmates the entry fee unless individual names are entered.
Factories and harvesters should also allow guild:guildname function on their admin lists, instead of the 30-name macro I have to run to setup my factories and harvesters.

Isn't she great? I take all the credit. I had my eye on her as my replacement for like 6 months

You have a flair for organization that escapes me. The content itself is easy the community is very good about organizing their thoughts and are not really all that unclear about what they want. Its the presentation that is difficult.
And as I recall it was you who coined the phrase "Parsec High Club" in this forum not me.
I'll deny that until my dying day!
