Do you want to come ingame and work harder to PLAY A GAME than it is to run yourself in RL? I personally do not. So please do not lecture me of 'posting something constructive'

If it is un-fun for you...simple solution: DON'T DO IT! If you don't like something in the GAME, go do something else.

Ok this is the most moronic statement i have read so far.

So your telling me, that for someone that has been master merchant, master armorsmith sinvce launch....i should just drop it all right? Drop whati like doing in the game.....Drop what i have been doing since day one.

Im sorry......your statement is a classic copout, and you can take that response somewhere else.

I like what im doing, and i dont feel that i (or anyother crafter/merchant) shold have to just accept this type of change. Thsi is way to extreme. I keep my vendors stocked with over 600 items on over 3 vendors at least, and that is hard to keep up with. (Armor and resources sell well) For them to come and say these changes......is insane.

read every forum thread.......and i challenge you to go say that to other merchant/crafters that have done it as long as i have, and see how much flack you get back for that comment.

I think you're completely missing the point.

Cendatinea is saying that if YOU are playing a game and its not fun for you, you may want to explore more fun things to do.

If you're working real hard, for no real life monetary gain, burning yourself out over what is essentially pixels, maybe you might want to consider something else.

Calling her statement moronic when you don't even understand it is kinda low. Play nice before this thread gets out of hand and locked buddy.

I don't make game policy for the devs and I never asked for ANY limits to the items we can have on our vendors. I have been working to get them raised especially at master. I'm also working to try to get the limits to be made aggregate but there are some technical issues with that idea that I'm trying to get clarification on.

The devs told us 7 months ago that they were going to limit vendors to 150 items per vendor. Reacting to our very loud complaints about that they said they would come up with a plan to make the limits scale and the high end would be higer than 150. That obviously didn't happen and I'm working to make it better.

Dont' expect miracles. The devs are serious about limiting the number of items. Irrational screaming about it won't help anyone. Threatening to quit the game won't help anyone. Please give me concrete numbers for the items you sell per week and the imact this change will have on you. Give me realistic compromises to take to the devs. Yelling unlimted at me won't help becuase it is NOT going to be unlimited at any level. We are at 660 now. I would like to see it aggregate and more like 1200 but it will end up being lower I would guess. At this point 750 aggregate would be better than what we have now.

It is in TEST..this is the time to make suggestions for the numbers and to test the impact of things like bags and other things.

Last..take a breath..take another one..

I'm not a big player of test, but a lot of things tend to elude capture on test, as it always seems like a mini version of the real thing. I'm not sure if someone is going to place in their multi planet resource business on test server. It certianly feels like a few vendor issues fall through the cracks on Test because of the lack of a full fledged business economy there like on the live servers.

Am I wrong? Does test have as big of an economy as many of the live servers with huge crafter conglomerates and other various merchant guilds?

I work as a Merchant in Bloodfin, and as of right now,I have 5 vendors in my store. All together, I would have more than 2.000 items listed on them.

My sales are in the house of 250 items per day. How the heck am I suppose to keep those vendors restocked, or even keep the business going if they limit the 660 total ??!

I'm sorry to say but this is TOTALLY unacceptable.

I mean WHERE does SOE fail to see the HUGE negative impact that this will have on all aspects of the game if these changes come to live?

Man, this is frustrating.

Realistic:

I sell meds. I bust up crates to make things affordable for new players. You can buy singles, 5 pks, 10 pks, 1/2 crates, full crates. I carry Stim B, Stim C, Stim D, Stim E, 6 stats wound medpacks, 4 state packs, 6 stat buff packs, Area A Stims, Area C Stims, Ranged B, Ranged C, Ranged D, Ranged E, Cure Poison A & C, Cure Disease A & C, Flame Blankets, Rez kits.Ialso sell med resources. I totalled it up, I currently have 1221 salable units on my 6 vendors.

I try to carry everything anyone could possibly need. With the new limits, I will be forced into selling full crates only. That tells the customer to take it or leave it. You'd be surprised how many people buy a few singles to try things out first, then come back and buy volume. They won't have that opportunity. New players will be forced out, because they won't be able to afford a full crate. This change will force out variety and force ppl to stock only high end expensive product. need a wound pack at 1500? too bad, I can make ten times that for 1 buff pack.

Different types of crafters have different needs. Crafters who sell low priced merchandise should be able to have more items on a vendor. Architects who build furniture need more space then an Architect who sells buildings. A tailor needs more space than a weaponsmith making krayt weapons.

Well, Doc, my plumbing was shot to hell today and I just now learned about this.

I suppose that if anyone has a personal crisis or takes a vacation now they'll have to schedule it completely by SWG developers or lose everything they have ever worked to accomplish.

I am completely dumbfounded at reading this change was even considered. I mean COMPLETELY.

I just literally stunned at the singular incompetence of this producer and developer team to understand even nominal schedules in life or comprehend the flow of economic activity within this creature we called SWG.

How can I offer you compromises to take to the devs when they are literally removing my ability to play the game with any continuity.

I really don't know what to say. I'm not at the quitting stage yet, but I swear that if I do I doubt you will see many in the largest guild on Tempest staying. We know each other personally now, and will travel as a group through whatever socially acceptable game continues to bind us together. SWG has given us this, but the insanity of their decisions for "improvements" is just overwhelming.

I'm going to check things out on the boards before commenting further, but instead of getting to play the game tonight for a couple of hours after getting back from fixing my plumbing I'm simply considering taking offers to stop playing from friends that are fed up for a variety of reasons. I'm being told on Teamspeak that vendor limits are 110 items on each of 6 vendors at Master Merchant. I sold more than that DAILY before hitting Master Artisan.

This will make me cancel my merchant account - I really wont be able to sell for other people which I do now.

It will make shopping - a chore - keeping things stocked impossible.... my Merchant is a Master Chef/ Master Architect. I have one vendor that we use solely to support our city with - people donate and anything made there is transferred to city hall in weekly payments. I spend hours each day playing a merchant - buying items etc.

This nerf - and it is a nerf - cripples the merchant class.

I agree with getting rid of unpointed vendors

I agree with getting rid of empty inactive vendors

I also agree with kicking the crap out of who ever thought of a 660 max limit for master merchant

Whats next 3 item limit for backpacks? One stat buffs only? Oh i know how about a 45 minute wiat at starports

Nerf merchant? When other profs needs fixed like Smuggler? Where is the sense in that? I will most likely cancel 1 of my 4 accts, the one that runs my city and guild merchants.

I wish the DEVS would put as much time into broken profs as they do in NERFING! SWG would be an unbelievable game then.
