Ok I got one I’ve wanted to see happen for a while now. Maybe this is the chance.

Vendors in Private Buildings- I have wanted to see the ability to make a building with a vendor in it private. Some may wonder "What would be the point?" Many times I have wanted to move vendors around, or rearrange my shop around to make things look better and more professional. This Merchant ability would let you effectively "Close" your shop for rearranging reasons, or could be used to limit access to intended parties. As a merchant I would like to have the ability to close my shop for a time period without having to destroy all my vendors and store countless items before I can make the structure private. I have been revamping things before and have things confusing and in a mess, when customers have come in. Needless to say it greatly confused them, and they were kind of agitated that I didn’t have all my Products up for sale. Which may deter them to other vendors thinking we didn't have things together or were going out of bussiness. If it became an issue they could also configure the game to remove the advertising from the planet map or and an identifier before the vendor name, while a vendor was in a private "closed" shop. Like I say just something I think should be an option to the merchant profession, and give us a more professional way to rearrange.

Something has to be given to the Master Merchant


like more of a vendor limit


skill reduction would be nice


tells that tell you that your vendor maintence is running low or auto takes from the pool of credits you have


since we can no longer wear armor and carry weapons we need something to help us then a droid or pet tank

My Biggest issue is Resource Categorizing


Having a Steel, Copper, Ore...etc tab to further break down what is on that vendor woudl greatly help customers find what they need

Currently some of my vendors have TOO MANY PAGES of just minerals

Breaking them down so that the vendor could filter by type of mineral resource


Other Vendor categories have this, why not the one category that is the most elaborate in types


Also


As it was said above restocking on that wonderful day is the most annoying thing of selling resources

I /sign for a restock all or restock selected at old value button/option

I did say pretty please and all that stuff and watched numerous others post the same thing....Now, it's time for the, "No offense, but what act of God does it take to add the restock button the issues list?"


It's been posted and requestedby numerous peopleand it seems that the list being presented is not true representation of what people are posting. Maybe it's because much is already on "the list" - I'm not sure, but sure would like to find out.


Also, is there any way to plop this list up for votes to see which should be #1 and so on?


I feel yucky now, but sheesh it doesn't seem like what's being posted is what's really most important to all.

Erm, if you're referring to the list in Elyssa's initial post, you are aware that it says that she was starting with Doc's old list, that she would be updating it from there and that the post hasn't been edited yet. That would indicate to me that Elyssa either a) has not yet gotten around to updating the list with current concerns (not unreasonable with the CU and RotW just around the corner) or b) is waiting for more replies or c) both of the above. In any case the list in that post is an old list and is not intended to reflect current merchant concerns.

Lets just say I'm passionate about my vendors dumping stuff month after month.


I would like to at least submit something to the devs so it gets put on their "list" too, regardless of the CU, ROTW or whatever. Apparently, this is the avenue for feedback to the Devs, and that is why I am posting here.

Throwing issues at the developers when they're not ready to see them accomplishes nothing.
Besides, I seriously doubt they're interested in much of anything except the CU and RotW at the moment.
They have asked for little bits of things here and there and such things have been submitted as they come up.


Just because I haven't updated the list here doesn't mean I'm not compiling everything offline where it's easier to work with.
I think everyone who's been a merchant for more than 30 days knows it's a problem that needs to be addressed.

My two biggest issues are skill points and restocking. I'd like to see them do something similar for us that they did for IDs, so I can master artisan, 2 elite crafting, and merchant to sell my stuff. As it stands, I have some skill points I'm not bothering to use on my merchant toon so I can stay master merchant, artisan and architect. No point in starting up another crafting tree since I wouldn't be able to master it, and I'm not interested in combat (not that the SP leftover would amount to much combat :smileywink. Those are my biggest gripes with the profession.

  • a Fix that the names of droid vendors are visible, too

  • a Feature to remove Vendors from a house i own (initialised (with restrictions) and non-initialised (more important, because they get never removed and cant be removed besides destroying the house)

Agreed. I originally assumed you would just keep adding to the above list as people posted here. I was starting to get anxious and had been on a three day restocking binge when I posted my restocking button comment. I do believe the priority plate is the CU/ROTW integration, however, I do believe that our dilligence would be prudent just in case there's a guy there named Jimmy Jo Bob who's only job is to make sure the merchant matters are being worked on Albeit, it's unlikely, but hey, ya never know!

Ok, so I'm prepping the draft of this to postfor the devs now that the release of RotW is imminent and I've got a couple of questions

The first isfor all the "extended listing time" people.

Would you be willing to sacrifice stockroom time in favor of more sales time?
I'm not gonna push a compromise as the opening volley, but I would like to have something to fall back on quickly.


So would say 45 days on sale and 15 days in the stockroom be at all attractive?



The second is for the "more items" people.


What if:

- Small amounts of dissimilar items could be put into a container counted as one item? (like a full set of armor or the resources needed to craft an item, but not all your spare OMU's for storage)
- Customers could buy single items directly from factory crates? (They could buy one swoop from a crate of 50)

- Customers could buy resources from a single stack at a cpu and quantity you set? (You could set a price of 3cpu for a 100k stack of steelto be sold in 1000 unit increments.)

Would this satisfy the need for increased item limits?

Not personally as I've taken to using my stockroom to hold crates of components so I have more vendor spaces for clothing. But if it happens I won't be complaining as I hate restocking every 30 days too!
