Darth,

This cap will destroy most crafters, including (perhaps especially) architects! If you're proposing that people should have to buy more houses from you in order to store resources and components instead of having a storage vendor, then how in the world would you expect them to harvest anything?? Even discounting the number of lots we have available, there's the maintenance factor.. I'd need to use9 lots just for storage of components and resources, which would mean paying an extra 16k/week just in maint fees, not to mention having to run around like crazy to grab the resources I need to craft a particular item... Ialso could no longer harvest resources.

I usually have about 6 harvestors going. I also have a medium house (which is full), and have one vendor for resource storage (which has a few hundred items usually). I have 4 other vendors currently for selling my goods. I know of an architect who has way more need of storage than I do! Bottom line is, if this is implemented the way it is listed I don't expect I'd stay around much longer, and sony would lose my $25/month (for 2 accounts)...

With the one artisan vendor you can stock enough : 50 backpacks full of items (as a filled backpack only counts as one item). Don't tell me you need more then that !

Good for you dearone. Well done.

As for the rest of you ... I would'nt worry too much about views like this.

When the Poodoo hit's the fan it's people like this who will be the first to get upset and cry foul. Just wait for the first time he has to replace his 80% stun compo suit due to damage. Watch all smiley faced as he walks into the local AS shop to find prices have quadrupled and start giggling if the said shop is out of stock ... again. Now watch him traipse off to the next AS who only sells 50% Stun, but has it priced stupidly high, because it's in stock and knows it will eventually sell. Our dear customer has to grudgingly pay over the odds, but is still kinda happy in thinking this nerf has'nt affected him too badly (He likes staring at blank walls... No furniture to buy, likes walking ... no speeders available ... loves having to go back to basics using swords, as no stun batons were available). Now watch as he gets steamrollered by the next PVP'er who still has a decent compo suit.

Won't affect you ? I think not.

*DISCLAIMER : Extreme examples have been used .. but you get the idea.*

Ok public enemy #1 what are your proffesions?

Here were my proffessions.

Artisn, Architect, Merchant, Marksman, Scout, BH, Carbiner, CH, Pistoler, and politican

When i started the game I wanted to be a BH and when I retire move to a small town and open a shop.

What happened was I moved to an Imperial CIty. Became an architect and merchant cause of the holo grind.Andthen became mayor of the city and the 2nd in command. Then I kicked my leader who sold under guns and armor to rebels. But we are at a truce now, VALUTHOR! And started my own PvP guild.

I noticed how the merhcants all didn't care about the factions and sold to opposing factions. When I was a architect it was hard to sell cause everyone have small house slave vendor. I Liked in beta how the bazzars were vibrant and so were the player cities. This should help that. When I was a merhcant I didn't make anything. I bought and resold eveything on foot and barely used my vendors. I think merhcant and politican should not even be classes. I think politican can be anyone. And when you become mayor you open a new proffession iwth it all 0 points. And for Merhcnat I think you should be able to buy as many vendors as you like but the latenacne should be threw the roof.

But that is my 2 cents. The cap will bring life to the cities again.

Yes you can store a backpack with 50 items in it, as long as you remember whats in there and have 51 items of free space in your inventory to withdraw it!! If you're struggling for storage as it is, theres no way you could drop a pack in your house to make room for a pack off your vendor, now is there?

It hurts architects when merchants can have vendors of storage. These merchants have one house with vendors and a slave vendor and then 8 lots of harvesters is crazy. I'm glad the devs figured this out.
Also this will help the bazzars finnaly. I loved how the bazzars were so full of things back in the day.
I also im glad it will kill off all the vendors of non merchant people.

I agree DarthEhsan. I agree 100%. I just think the cap could be slightly higher. Maybe have a total of 1000 items on all vendors, no limit per vendor.

Idon't know what makes you such a worthless poster, but it really works! Clearly, the full area of your ignorance is not yet mapped. We are presently only exploring the fringes of that vast expanse. If you knew what you're talking about, you'd be dangerous. As Ellen Glasgow once remarked: "He knows so little and knows it so fluently."

While people might be willing to buy a full suit, maybe two suits in a bag. I kinda doubt that most players would like to buy a backpack filled with 10-20 Heavy Harvesters. Or how about player city in a bag (Cityhall, garage, hospital, cantina, bank, 10 small houses, cloning center, shuttleport, theater and gardens)? That is some serious dinero. Are you suggesting that this is viable for crafters selling big ticket items?

When this happens newer people can make names for themselves. Sadly though. I feel that this cap is to force people to buy second accounts to have vendors. The devs may be thinking if they delt with the bs before they will deal with this.

I still think the problem with this game is insane armor. Not enough mind buffs or mind heals. And too many Jedi. Vendors will adapt.

Here is an idea I think would be cooler. Revamp the buildings vendor may be placed in.

Like tents. You palce the vendor inside. And then the items you palce inside the tent you give them prices. And whatever is in the tent is what is sold. So it looks cool with guns on thewalls and when the vendor sells it the gun disapears and ends up in the buyers inventory. And make a real building called a mall. And have the owner have the ability to rent out the rooms in the mall to merhcants. And that room is like a tent but with no lot requirments and smaller storage. Or hell to anyone not only merhcants. Yah see that would make merhcant better. The manager part is to manage a mall so merhcants can make money renting out rooms to people. You can also have a factory and a warehouse. A droid can be programed to go form the factory to the warehouse to store things made in the factory and then the dorids may even take the stuff to vendors. So maybe you have factory in a resercha center and your stores in diffrent cities.

The devs can do so many cool things with merhcant. Like I said above I wanted to be a merchant too. This patch will fix things for new players. But sadly yah it will hurt those who tried hard.

Well the dev's are not crative so instead they screw you with out giving a benift as well.

A second account isn't going to help. I mean, what is one to do? Have resource vendor 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and then Loot vendor 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 on the next account?

The 110 limit really screws how you present your merchandise to the consumer. No matter how many accounts you have... 110 isn't enough.

6 vendors isn't enough, so my second account is picking up merchant. NOT because I need more SPACE, but because I have different things to sell.

The other account can give you another 660 spaces to sell stuff, but will clutter up malls, cause SERIOUS lag, and be confusing for customers. Many don't pay attention. If you have a vendor with just accessories, some will walk away thinking you have no clothes because they don't look. It all needs to be in front of them.

And, I can't imagine. lol. A mall with 6 weapons vendors, 6 tailor vendors, 6 armor vendors, 6 loot vendors, 12 resource vendors, 6 chef vendors... etc. You'd run out of room!

Auto-it... leads to the dark side.
