Excellent! Now that's a vendor/bazaar search option! Love the idea for private sales! Excellent suggestion Doc! Hear hear!
Now to push this through into development and we'll be.... er... wha? They've already got something going in test now? It does what? It allows you to do WHAT?! Ah man...

It's almost like this isn't the first time you've thought about the issue.
What are you insinuating? Are you suggesting that I've been peddling ideas like this one for more than a year? And that any dev who wanted to read alternative ideas could have just dropped by for a visit and read them before posting, then implementing the current abomination? Shocking suggestion Elyssa!!!
Tsk Tsk Doc. I almost noticed a little hostility in that post. I wonder how the nurses in the retirement home put up with you...

He's just upset that my vendors are prettier than his.
...which is scary when you really think about it.

Why planetary search at Advertising I? Advertising III would be the appropriate, that is the skill where you can register on the map. And since a galactic search is even better than a planetary the galactic should be higher than the highest planetary register skill, which would be master.

You know, it's occurred to me that right now, with this global search, what they've basically done is let anyone with Business III just have a bunch of extra Bazaar sales, but with no price cap. All that the other boxes do is just give you more Bazaar slots.
They definitely need to make the planetary and galaxy searches take a reasonable amount of MERCHANT skill.

Sometimes I think about deleting my character, starting over as a non-merchant and not telling anyone my new name.

This option also excludes crafters, that don't have SPs to add Merchant. The GVS give these crafterts visiablity, and you're taking that away from them again. They don't have multiple venders, just the ones bus II &IV gives, and more than enough for them. They have limited resources and can make small amounts of items, but it does let them earn a living. The GVS would' bring new customers in, and you're taking it away from them. They will be back the way it was pre-GVS, players running past their fully stocked shop, and to bunch of poorly stocked or empty group of vendors. As for those that want instant delivery, you should be able to purchase the item(s) off the public bazaar, but have to go to the shop to get it. Merchants/crafters, if the person is banned from your shop or mall, but made a purchase, they should have a friend send you an in-game e-mail, and arrange a time to be allowed to get themthe item(s). The same friend, who sent the e-mail, should be present also. If you don't want the banned person(s) buying from you, refund their credits, and wait 30 days for the item(s) to kick back to you.
