Oh well I guess thats my two star rant for the day, thanks for that btw, I voice my views and get two stars for it, /cheer for u.

Just for the record, I don't go around starring people. The only time I use the system is to 5 star a post I completely agree wtih. So whoever it was, wasn't me. We are all entitled to air our views and make coherent arguments as to why we agree/disagree. I don't understand people who go around one starring, very wierd.

Nah I didnt think it was you that gave me the two stars, I worded it wrong, it should have said, TY to who ever gave me the two star for my wanting to disscuss something that has been on my mind. I am sorry that I implied it was you that gave me the 2 star.

Politician only benefits a city, not the player of the character. Merchant benefits the PC. It made sense to remove the skill points for Politician.

As for taking over cities, well, that is why the system is the way it is...

actually, this is probably the reason why they removedthe skill point necessity from poli. Im not sure if you have ever been a politician, but if you have, you would know that there is no monitary benefit from being a politician. In fact, most politicians have to put their own money into the cities just to keep them floating. I for one know that I sunk up to at least 5m credits of my own money in a period of 3 months into our city. True, politicians can make treasury withdraws, but when your city is struggling, no good mayor will do that, but rather put their own money into it.

All they needed to do was to give mayors of cities a per citizen based income. Since you cannot do "Politician Missions" allowing a mayor a salary of say 100k per citizen per update for master politician, and lower amounts with lower skill, this would have been a very nice bonus for poli and may have saved Politician from this nerf. I know that seems like a lot of credits, but if you think about it, for a base metro of 90 citizens that would be the equivilant of doing a 8k mission every 10 minutes. For a village of 25 citizens, it would be the equivilant of doing 2.5k mission every 10 minutes. And I personally think that as a politician, being able to keep everyone happy between trainers and terminals you place, the over all look of the city, making yourself available, ect, that a mayor is worth it. This would be money taken from the system of course not paid by the citizen. But a salary such as combat profs get from running missions.

So, my solution is give poli back their skill points and give them a salary system.

Master Poli = 100k per citz per update

Novic Poli = 2k per citz per update

Each Completed Box Held = 3k additional pay per citz per update

Well to answer your question, I spent 50,000,000 on my city, Had the city at max, and then the guild I was in got crushed everyone left swg for WOW and such, andI just didnt have the time to keep the city alive anymore, so I let it die, at the time I let it die, I started getting really into PVP on the toon I had Mayor on, I was at 3/3/3/3 Poli b4 I gave up the skill point's because I needed to use them to become defence stacked.

So not onto your second part, on my server we had a city/guild go belly up, the city was a great city, so somone had friends in there to vote someone in, they did that, the new mayor Maxed every possible city expence to the higest it could go with 98 Citizens, so basicly he ended up making the city alot of money. Yes they can take out what 10k or 50k a day or something? So it would take awhile to make any real credits, but hey its an income, and this new mayor didnt spend a time to make the city!!!!

REally? I enjoy being a politician, and it's a lot of fun, I think. I find it a benefit, or I'd not do it. I enjoy merchant, too.

But not if they push this stupid bazaar change.
